These 10 Commandments written by God's Own Finger are not the latter 613 laws laid upon the Children of Israel which Moses was told to give to the Children of Israel, whom He choose through which to make Himself known to the World.

Common sense shows that God allowed these EXTRAS to show those hard-headed people that they could not earn their salvation: it was impossible for man to achieve his salvation. There-for an understanding of the history of the times before Christ came, shown in the story of Abraham being commanded to sacrifice his beloved son, that he was willingly but The Most High stopped him with the promise, 'I shall provide Myself". A Ram in the thicket was provided that day for Abraham with the prophetic promise of the very person of God Himself coming in the flesh in the person of Jesus Christ whom paid the price.

Can we understand that kind of ability to do this or the Love for mankind that The Great I Am has for His creation? NO! But we should accept it in faith that by accepting the free gift of salvation, it is ours.

And, we should use those Ten Commandments to guide us in our lives to try to live sanctified lives. Will we succeed? No, but we do not lay aside His Guidance because we are miserable failures in our own right.

Wow, what an awesome thread! And Linda, that video was a very nice compilation and explanation; I just don't see how anyone can argue.

You know, in thinking about those few in Colosse who chose to follow the Word in its fullness needing encouragement from Paul to stay the course, that is what I feel like today... A Gentile converted and grafted into the commonwealth of Israel and all alone, surrounded by all the activities and things that are detestable to God. It is lonely, and sometimes it can be hard, but it is more valuable than anything else I can ever receive or do in this life. I am thankful for those who are staying the course, providing the absolute truth in their teachings and encouraging us to stay faithful and obedient.

I just want to encourage everyone to fear the One who controls the destiny of our souls, because we have forgotten who He is and what He requires. Our faith in Him and the grace He provides through His Son is the fuel for our obedience to His ways; obedience today can be very hard and isolating. I completely understand the scripture, "faith without works is dead"; I also wholeheartedly respect the scripture, "work out your salvation with fear and trembling". He gave us a gift of life on this earth and life eternally through forgiveness by faith in His Son, and as a result of our receipt and gratitude for that gift, we are to obey His commands and requirements that prove we belong to Him. Isn't it funny though, that even though the ultimate gift has already been given, we continue to make it about what WE RECEIVE in the form of freedom, freedom, freedom -- as opposed to what is required of us to separate ourselves from the world, as a result of our faith??! Really, today's Christianity is selfish and minimizes the penalty of transgressing the law, making us lukewarm and almost indifferent towards continuous holy living. Many of us today are simply not afraid of the Most High, and that is the truth! Need I remind us that it is a "dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God ".

We stand today with deception up to our nostrils, and we are about to drown. We are living in the end of days, and the Most High in His grace and mercy, has sent His chosen ones to release and reveal the truth, and we must wake up! My prayer, my pleading and tearful prayer, every day is that hearts will be open to the one and only truth that has been hijacked for the last thousands of years. Can you imagine... satan has deceived the whole world, and we have a chance to come out of it and be saved!!!
