Massive 2.2 X-Class Solar Flare Sends CME's Toward Earth

Major X-Class Events Twin X-Class Eruptions on New Sunsot AR2087

Solar activity is now at high levels A strong, but impulsive solar flare measuring X2.2 was first detected Tuesday morning 11:42 UTC. Just over an hour later, this was followed up by a longer duration X1.5 event around the same active region. The second event (X1.5) is responsible for a bright coronal mass ejection
The active region will turn into a more direct Earth facing position as the week progresse

Double X-Class Solar Flares June 10, 2014

New Active Region 12087 turning the eastern limb just unleashed two powerful X-Class Solar Flares today. The first was registered at 11:42 UTC and peaked to X2.2 and the second blast at 12:52 UTC peaked to X1.5 was also responsible for a long duration event and therefore does have a strong Coronal Mass Ejection associated on latest imagery but will not be earth directed.

COMET JACQUES is Causing the X FLARES.

Comet Jacques is approaching the sun, causing extreme solar electrical discharge.
