The early church did NOT believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture. You are stating a false-hood. These early Christians were waiting for the physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ... believing that they had missed it.... Paul told them two things must happen first, "Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." — 2 Thess. 2:3.

The apostasy mentioned in the text was not civil.... the falling away of many kingdoms from the Roman empire; but an apostasy of the visible church from Him who is Lord of the Congregation/Assembly. And no, it does not mean 'rapture'.

Now, when did Jesus Christ begin His ministry? It began right on time, in the beginning of the 70th week as the Prophet Daniel was told.

How long did He minister before giving His Life? That's right! It was 3 1/2 years. Now if you subtract 3 1/2 from 7, what do you get? Doesn't it look to you like that 7 year period is no longer in place on which to hang a Tribulation period?

Another question? How long is the Son of Perdition given? That's right; it is 3 1/2 years. The same length of time that our Lord ministered. Now, we have an Evil One that was confirmed to start that final 3 1/2 years of history, it seems. Even John Tng's own number calculations showed this man's name was associated with the End Days. And there are the Bible Codes which show his name written across the many words that show the demise of America.

What do you do with the Tetrads, which are a heavenly sign of the days leading up to the return of Jesus Christ? You can't just ignore them...they are given for a sign.

Now, Bob, I once believed in a pre-tribulation Rapture so I understand that teaching. After doing my own diligence of reading scripture (without the benefit of diplomas, etc.) I began to question how that could be possible if the "He" in Daniel 9 was Jesus Christ. It was Jesus who confirmed the covenant that the Father had promise to the Prophets by becoming the Sacrificial Lamb that paid the Redemptive Price...no more need for the sacrifices to continue. No more of the temple with it's priests who had taken up the traditions of Babylon. In other words, it was finished. .

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." Daniel 9:27

I believe in the only clear understanding of a Rapture that is given which is a pre-wrath position. And the wrath is very near to the End, is it not? So, when you mention no man knows the day or the hour, you are correct but we do know of the times. The Tetrads are a very strong Heavenly witness to that time-line. Course, you have studied on that, right? That is the position of most of us. Some do not even believe in a Rapture. Do we call each other of a Satanic mind-set?

When this site has tried to warn those that believe in a 7 year Tribulation period that there is no 7 year period left after Jesus Christ fulfilled that first half of that 70th week, it was done with trying to help unaware Christians be aware that, "Hey, maybe you should think about laying in a few groceries & necessary supplies because you just may well be here for the duration of the final hours before the Wrath of God." It was all done out of the need to warn our fellow man.

"Don't Give Up on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture"

In my series of posts I am doing on "Standing in the Gap", I have been laying the groundwork necessary to understand why the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is solid Biblical theologically. The critics of the Pre-Trib Rapture are Satanically inspired. I will explain all of that as soon I complete the "Standing in the Gap" series. There a few more posts on "Standing in the Gap"



No doctrine is attack so vehemently, so aggressively, so mindlessly, and so vile as is the Pre-Trib Rapture. These critics are Dominionists (kingdom now people), SDA's, JW's, Mormons, Catholics, Covenant/Reformed Protestant churches. They always begin their attack by saying Margaret MacDonald, Darby, Scofield, are the cause of this, citing this is an 19th century teaching. That is a blatant lie. The early church believed in the Pre-Trib Rapture for three hundred years before Catholicism needed to get the church focused off the RCC because Revelation sounded too close to Rome. Their style is to attack the messenger first because the message (in this case a Pre-Trib Rapture can't be so easily dismissed.



Those constantly attacking this site and its host are not serious Bible students when they take out of context and "cherry-pick" passages for which they do not even understand the Greek or Hebrew nuances. I have shredded Steven "Mark" Wohlberg's effort to place the Rapture at the middle of the 70th week of Daniel. They function from a position of ignorance. The so-called "Spiritualist of the Lord" recently, as a week or two ago, called the date for the Rapture. This comes in spite of the fact that the Bible makes it perfectly clear that none of us knows the day nor the hour. As I stated previously, they must have heard from upon High or they are full of hot air coming in off the Pacific Ocean. They sure can pontificate about things with such finality.



But, as I stated, do not give up on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture!
