Leviticus 23:10-12

"When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf OF THE FIRSTFRUITS of your harvest to the priest. He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord , to be accepted on your behalf; ON THE DAY AFTER THE SABBATH ( Sunday ) the priest shall wave it. And you shall offer ON THAT DAY (Sunday) , when you wave the sheaf, A MALE LAMB OF THE FIRST YEAR..."

Who was the Lamb of God?
Who is the sheaf of the Firstfruits here?
Who is it that is qualified to be the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek."

Psalm 110 - A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD (YHVH) said to my Lord,(Adonai)
"Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
2 The LORD (YHVH) shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
3 Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power;
In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.
4 The LORD (YHVH) has sworn
And will not relent,
"You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek."

Did all of these independent roles happen on the same day? NO.

1. Jesus Christ, willingly offered Himself as the Supreme Sacrifice as the Lamb of God on Wednesday and died at 3:00 PM. At that very same moment, the High Priest utter the same words over the lamb that had been tied down at the Temple, that Our Lord said on the cross, "It is finished". Start the count. From 3:00 to 3:00 the following day is one day (Thursday). From 3:00 to 3:00 to the next day (Friday). From 3:00 PM to 3:00 on the Weekly Sabbath are 3 days with each of the nights counted as part of the complete day.

2. By His Resurrection on the Lord's Sabbath, He became the Firstfruit sheaf taken from the Land (Grave) Notice the scripture that says, "Then"

3. He, then, took upon Himself the role of the High Priest forever to present Himself to His Father. The priestly anointing of Messiah presents Him as our High Priest and Saviour. (Heb.4:14).

A. The High Priest had to remain pure for His role in the First Fruit ceremony. Why do you think He forbid Mary to touch Him at that point? He had not performed that role yet.

B. Would the apostate High Priest in Jerusalem, who was part of the Sanhedrin, that called for His death, be allowed to fulfill that next ritual to take place on Sunday? I don't think so.

C.. He set the Captive free from Abraham's Bosom, many of which were seen in Jerusalem. These were the rest of the harvest.

After all these things were fulfilled by Him, then and only then did he invite Thomas to touch Him to see if it was He, 10 days later.

From listening to 2 different Messianic Jewish men teach the feasts of Israel, and from two other Jews in Israel saying the same thing, Jesus fulfilled the first 3 spring feasts of Passover, unleavened bread and first fruits. This is true. But Messiah did not die on a Friday. These Messianic teachers both agree that it must have been like a Wednesday that Messiah was crucified and died in the afternoon. These people agree with what what was typed below and submitted by Gerlinda. I started realizing years ago that the whole "Good Friday" and "Easter" observances were not only incorrect dates, but had pagan origins. Jesus would known what date he would be offered as the Passover lamb. And He would have made sure it coincided with the Jewish Feast days appropriately, not as later "theologians" would teach.

One thing about the Messianic Jews who know the Hebrew Language and can read the original writings; who also understand the Jewish Feasts much better than we Gentiles, they know that you can't get three full days and nights from a Friday Death. They also know that each role the Messiah fulfilled took place on three different days within the Passover Week. He is the Lord of the Sabbath and fulfilled the Feast of First fruit, literally, on that last day the Feast only done as a preview of the Real Thing. That would be the Feast declared to be done on the 1st day of the week, following the weekly Sabbath.
