HOW TO KNOW WHEN 1,260 MEANS 'DAYS OR YEARS'.......................







When the prophecy of the 'woman in the wilderness' is given TWICE IN THE SAME CHAPTER, once as 1,260 days and the second times as" time, times and half a time".




The phrase "time, times and half a time" is unmistakably 3 1/2 years which then tells us that the previous reference to 1,260 days means days and NOT YEARS.




Compare Rev 12:6 with Rev 12:14 and you will see the validation of my statement.




The woman is being protected from the presence of Satan for 42 months which is also 1,260 days or 3 1/2 years. Rev 13:5 and Rev 12:14




The Church needs no protection on earth because the Church is raptured the very day that Satan is cast down. Rev 12:10-12

I don't disagree about the numbers; it seems to me we should be taking measurements of time as accurate unless otherwise noted (as in the "day for year" prophecies which specific the change) so it looks surely to be accurate measurements of time- here in days, months, years: 1260 days, etc.

The rapture happens at the coming of the Lord, this is expressly and clearly taught by Paul:

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

It looks like you're putting the coming of the Lord at the same time as the coming of Satan, but this isn't what it is saying. As Paul teaches, the coming of the Lord is what destroys that Wicked:

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

this is what Paul began speaking of earlier:

2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

There's nothing in the scripture that teaches people being taken out of the world at any time before the coming of the Lord- the opposite is the case: admonition to be prepared to endure:

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The churches will not be taken out of the world, the coming judgment is being specifically directed at them, and they are not by any means going anywhere. First the son of perdition comes with all power and signs and lying wonders to judge the 7 churches, and he overcomes them, and given into his hand, and all forsake Christ and follow the false prophet, save for the elect remnant who remain faithful to Christ. Then the coming of the Lord happens which destroys the wicked, and we are changed, and the resurrection occurs, and we gather with them and meet the Lord in the air as He returns as told by the angels:

Ac 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

But there's nothing in the scripture about anyone being taken out of the world before the coming of the Lord. It doesn't exist in the scripture and the doctrine is actually the opposite of the scripture. Might as well toss it in the fire now because it's going to end up there anyway.
