The self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, has released a manifesto claiming that the Koran forbids the use of violence to spread Islam. Coming 'oil glut' may push global economy into deflation
Michael Lewis, the bank's commodity strategist, said markets face an "new oil supply glut" as three forces combine. US shale will add 1m barrels a day (b/d) to global supply for the third year running; Libya will crank up shipments after a near collapse in 2013; and Iran will come out of hibernation. "This will push OPEC spare capacity to levels last seen in the depths of the financial crisis in 2009," he said.

Israel admitted as full member of CERN
At a ceremony held this morning in Geneva, Israel was officially admitted as full member to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman represented Israel at the ceremony held at the CERN Globe of Science and Innovation, at the end of which the Israeli flag was added to the line of flags representing the member states of the organization. FM Liberman said that it was a source of great pride for him to see the Israeli flag raised, symbolizing Israel's participation in the forefront of world science and progress.

Syria chemical weapons: Security 'slows transport'
The UN body tasked with removing and destroying Syria's chemical arsenal says security concerns have slowed down the process. Ahmet Uzumcu, head of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, said the amount of chemicals that had reached a Syrian port ready to leave the country was not that high.
