I basically agree. However, in our case (my late husband and I) we started going to a Messianic congregation for one reason only: it was the only congregation in our vicinity which actually emphasized the fundamentals of the Christian faith. We lived in an area which is permeated by the apostate church,
and this has become even more apparent since I have been reading on this RBPF.
I can't actually find a congregation in this town which adheres to the fundamentals, unless I were to go to either the Orthodox or Catholic congregations. I have come to be suspicious of the Catholic one, too, after reading more on RBPF! I can't attend the Orthodox because they would smoke me out with incense, to which I am sensitive.
Therefore, I might still go to the Messianic congregation on Saturdays, even though that's a hundred mile round trip. But they basically shut down when the leaders' son-in-law suddenly died at thirty-four, and they have to make frequent trips to be with their family in Arkansas, and are trying to move to Arkansas.
So there is nothing left here for Christian fellowship.

This situation could be true in other towns as well.

My main problem with the messianics is that their movement might lend support to the Noahide movement. They don't support it now, but many regular (non-messianic) orthodox Jews think it's a great thing, a way to get the gentiles into the fold. But the rules are stringent to be a Noahide, including denying the Jesus is the Son of God. It shocks me that any Christian would think this is a good "compromise".
We live in a world where it is very hard to find a "decent" congregation of any sort.
I may try the Baptists, but I know they were reading Rick Warren in their adult Sunday school. Does not sound promising. Everyone wants to compromise these days.
