Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

Hi Steven,

I know this site is a treasure trove of discussion on all the issues you mentioned as I read and view as many as I can and am blessed by them. I am sorry if I made it sound like John and I were the only ones doing so, as in that regard nothing could be further from the truth!

What I was trying to say, and obvious not doing a very good job of it, was the timing of the 10th day of the 10 month is happening really soon and with everything else that is happening in the world, it would be a time to look at for this major deception to occur. It just seems that so many are looking for the rapture of the church at a time when it could be just the opposite. I am not saying that those on this site are, as much as what I see on other sites.

Also, I have not seen many articles about the coming of the False Messiah recently, and have never seen one that gave a good date in which to expect it in regards to what is revealed in Scripture. It is news to me, and it seemed important to share. It does worry me that millions may deceived by this, but as you seemed to point out, it is all in the Lord's hands, and He has it all under control.

Thanks for you input. I enjoyed the Elijah story.

God Bless,

Patti C.

O LORD, OPEN HIS EYES

SERIES: THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS

By Steve Zeisler

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Jesus' earthly ministry he gave sight to some who were physically blind. He also gives sight to the spiritually blind, and often uses our prayers in this process. The text we'll study in this message can help us learn to minister in prayer this way. The prophet Elisha twice prayed very simply, "Open their eyes." He prayed for insight, perception, recognition of glorious things that were otherwise hidden from those in bondage.

2 Kings 6 is where these prayers are recorded. But first I want to introduce Elisha in 2 Kings 2.

A crisis of faith

Elisha is an interesting character. He was the servant of Elijah, who was probably the greatest of all Israel's prophets. Elijah was the one in whose pattern John the Baptist came as the forerunner of Christ, "in the spirit and power of Elijah" (Luke 1:17). Elijah was an extraordinary, towering figure who challenged the failure of his nation and the foolishness of apostate rulers. He fought battles against the prophets of Baal. He prayed for drought and there was drought. He prayed for rain and it rained. We are going to look more closely at Elijah himself in the next message.

But Elisha, we are told, poured water on Elijah's hands (3:11); that is, he attended him. Elijah had a school for young prophets, and Elisha was the premier student, the closest disciple of the great Elijah.

Elisha would turn out to be different in many respects from almost all the other prophets. Over the course of his ministry he dispensed grace and truth in a way that was almost priestly or pastoral, as opposed to uttering denunciations of sin and ethical failure, calling for reformation.

At the end of Elijah's life, Elisha knew that God intended him to step into the shoes of his master-he would be the one to head the school of prophets, he would be the senior spokesman of God to the nation. Not surprisingly, he felt inadequate for the task. Let's pick up the story in 2 Kings 2:9:

When they had crossed [the Jordan], Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?"

"Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.

In Israel the firstborn son was always given a double portion of the inheritance as it was divided up among the descendants. This was a way of designating who the heir, the patriarch for the next generation, would be. What Elisha was saying was, "I need to be given your spirit. I have been designated your successor with words, but I need the spiritual resources that you have. If I am going to take your place, grant me your authority, your faith."

Verse 10:

"You have asked a difficult thing," Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours-otherwise not."

Elijah replied, "If you are a man of faith, you will see God come for me. You will apprehend invisible realities-angelic presences, the power of God. But if not, you will imagine ordinary explanations. 'Maybe Elijah got lost in the desert. Maybe he fell into some ravine or got heatstroke. Maybe there's some other explanation for his failure to return.'"

Verses 11-14:

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.

He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the banks of the Jordan. Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. "Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?" he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.

Thus he became the servant of Israel to minister to his people, to speak to them of God, to head the community of younger prophets who were going to learn from him to speak for God. He was wearing Elijah's mantle, and he was going into battle.

His crisis had concerned whether he would have his eyes opened to see how God acted and where God was present, whether he would be able to declare invisible realities that others couldn't see-chariots and horses of fire, the wonder and power of God. Would he be able to speak confidently not just about how the world appeared but also about the ways of God?

Now consider chapter 6, where we will find Elisha's simple prayer: "Open his eyes."

The best way to share your faith

Through a series of events, Elisha had been giving military information to the king of Israel (the northern kingdom), whose capital was Samaria at this time. The Arameans (sometimes known as the Syrians) were at war with Israel. They would set ambushes, but Elisha would tell the king to stay clear of the places where the Arameans had set them. The king of Aram eventually became furious. He accused some of his people of being traitors until he learned about the prophet in Israel who protected God's people. Then the King of Aram decided to kill Elisha.

I hope you and I get in trouble someday for the same reason! May God give us an opportunity to speak the truth in such a way that the people God loves are protected from harm. May we find ourselves the focus of opposition because the things we are say do good to those who need protection and care.

Elisha was lodging in a city called Dothan. He had one of his young disciples with him. Here was the young prophet attending the senior prophet as Elisha himself had once attended the great Elijah before him. We will pick up the story in 2 Kings 6:13-16:

"Go, find out where he is," the king ordered, "so I can send men and capture him." The report came back: "He is in Dothan." Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city.

When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked.

"Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."

This great truth of Scripture is echoed in the New Testament: "The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Chariots were powerful military vehicles. Warriors in the chariots, drawn by horses trained for battle, had surrounded the entire city of Dothan. So as Elisha and his servant walked around the wall, they saw a military force aligned against them at every point. There was no escape. But Elisha said to his servant, "We've got them just where we want them now. There are more of us than of them." The servant must have looked at him as if he had lost his mind.

Verse 17:

And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Dothan was a small walled city. It was in a valley ringed by mountains on which the servant of Elisha saw the chariot and horses of fire. God's provision and power had been there all along, but the servant hadn't been able to see it. Remember, Elisha's own crisis of faith had concerned whether he would see the chariot and horses of fire when they came for Elijah. Already he had faced the issue, "Will I trust God, see the invisible, and believe in the strength and authority of heaven even when it cannot be measured with my physical senses?" In like manner he prayed for his servant to apprehend truth that required faith to see.

It's a marvelous privilege to be able to pray for a struggling friend, for the believing heart next to us that is fearful and beaten down. "I've tried to tell them as much as I can, but, O Lord, you have to make it real."

Verse 18:

As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, "Strike these people with blindness." So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

Elisha prayed for the opposite result for these soldiers advancing on them: "Make them blind and show them their inadequacy. Show them their arrogance and pride."

Verse 19:

Elisha told them, "This is not the road and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for." And he led them to Samaria.

Blinded, they had no choice but to follow the one who could see. He led them to the capital city, where they were surrounded by the soldiers of the Israelite army. Verse 20a:

And after they entered the city, Elisha said, "LORD, open the eyes of these men so they can see."

In the first case Elisha had prayed for his younger brother, his fellow prophet, to be able to see what he could not. In this case he was praying for dangerous enemies to see.

Verses 20b-22a:

Then the LORD opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.

When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, "Shall I kill them, my father? Shall I kill them?"

"Do not kill them," he answered. "Would you kill men you have captured with your own sword or bow?"

These were defenseless men who had come into Samaria blind. They had no opportunity to prepare to fight. And the king wouldn't normally kill prisoners of war if he had won a battle against them.

Verses 22b-23:

"Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master." So he prepared a great feast for them, and after they had finished eating and drinking, he sent them away, and they returned to their master. So the bands from Aram stopped raiding Israel's territory.

What are some observations we might make from this text? Let me suggest a couple.

God's answers to human problems

The first is that the hills around Dothan had on them not giants or spaceships or some other esoteric representation of the power of God, but chariots. Elisha and his servant were surrounded by chariots made by human strength, chariots of worldly power and opposition. What God provided as an answer, declaring his own power, were chariots of fire.

The point of this is that when we are under pressure, when we find that the world is doing its best to destroy, to take away our hope, to hurt those we love, the kinds of threats that are mounted will be met with wise, direct, powerful good news.

Christians are accused of being other-worldly escapists at times: we flee to God and avoid the struggles of the real world; we don't know what it's like to live in hard places and in hard times. But what we find in this account is that we get specific answers to real problems. That is certainly the witness of the New Testament. Death threatens, and death is answered by resurrection. Chains bind, and chains are broken for freedom's sake. Children are orphaned, and they are claimed by God as royal sons. The dying are given life in abundance. Failure is overcome with grace.

Some reports on the history of MTV came out on a recent anniversary. The efforts made by advertisers and merchants greedy for gain at the expense of children are a terrible concern for parents. One study that I saw pointed out how well the advertisers understand the vulnerabilities of the young, and how aggressively they take advantage of them to make money. In this study one reporter asked an MTV executive if they influenced kids. His answer was, "We don't influence them-we own them."

For godly parents, these powerful, threatening influences that want to own their children are like the chariots surrounding Dothan. Whatever children get hooked on will make them vulnerable financially. What is the answer to that? Is the best answer for parents to tell their children to close their ears and their eyes, to avoid contact with targeted temptation? Well, that is part of the answer. But we have to offer something better in the gospel. Why are kids interested in what is ultimately destructive? Because they are lonely, because they want to be somebody, because they think they are not beautiful and they want to be, because they would like independence, because they would like life to have meaning, because they would like to be connected to something that is worth having.

What does the gospel offer them? It offers beauty, strength, identity, freedom, and connection to something that is worth having. Manmade chariots arrayed around Dothan were no match for the chariots of fire. God's solution will give needy souls exactly what they need in place of the foolishness that preys on their vulnerabilities. The chariots of God are chariots of fire meeting the needs of hearts in ways that overwhelm the threatening and destructive alternatives.

Blessing your enemies

Another observation I would make from this text concerns what happened to the enemy soldiers. Elisha said, "Open their eyes." He could have said, "Let's execute them!" But the way of God is not to destroy enemies. It's to win them, to open their eyes. God's authority comes into play most powerfully when we love our enemies, when we overcome evil with good, when we are able to give away life rather than fight back against those who take it, when we bless those who curse us.

Consider Jesus. There has never been a more authoritative person. No one has ever spoken as he did. Whatever he encountered, whether it was the soldiers of Rome or religious authorities of Israel, whether it was poor townspeople or crowds in the wilderness, whether it was storms on the sea or a legion of demons, he was in charge. And how did he use his authority? To be a blessing, to save sinners, including soldiers and Samaritans, to challenge pride so that it could no longer stand before him.

The movie The Apostle has both good and bad examples of Christian experience, but a powerful scene in it illustrates this point. The main character, a pastor named Sonny (played by Robert Duval), has founded a church. It's a poor, racially mixed congregation, and God is at work among them. But there is a racist in the community who hates the power of love. He shows up with a bulldozer one Sunday morning intending to destroy what he hates. Sonny opens his Bible and places it on the ground in front of the bulldozer. The word of God is a barrier that not only prevents the hater from destroying the building but leads him, with beautiful tenderness, to conversion. And the enemy who was going to destroy everything becomes one of the most faithful members of the congregation. The scene is a wonderful depiction of what happens when we see enemies as those whose eyes have not yet been opened.

To conclude, recall that Elisha himself had had a crisis as to whether he would be able to observe the chariots of fire, to wear Elijah's mantle, to be what he knew he was called to be, to have the faith to trust God. Realizing what he had been given, he prayed for others to have the same. His was a powerful ministry of seeing the invisible and giving it away. "Lord, open his eyes! It's not my persuasion that will help, it's my prayer."

Our privilege, in the same way, is to pray for others, to intercede for both believers and unbelievers who are in bondage-that God may open their eyes. Our privilege is not of talking to people so much as talking to heaven on their behalf. Sometimes we overdo conversation and come across like know-it-alls who have an answer for everything. That doesn't help. Less talk and more intercession is something we can learn from Elisha.

Paul's prayer in Ephesians 1 has the same language as 2 Kings 6:

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." (Ephesians 1:17-19a.)

May the Lord bless us with enlightened hearts and teach us to pray in this way for others.

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

Hi Patti, just have a question and a speculation, if the false messiah is coming on Tevet 10 then in order for the world to embrace such a person wouldn't they need a reason to embrace him? True believers believe that the rapture will take place before our messiah sets foot on earth so anyone claiming that status in my mind would immediately seem to be the false messiah. In other words, if we're going to meet Jesus in the air 1 Thess 4:13-18 then why would I believe this would be Him on Tevet 10 here on earth? I would also speculate that this false messiah is going to rescue the world out of some seemingly impossible mess which to me would be the only way the WHOLE world would embrace someone, because if things are as they are right now why would people have need to embrace him? It is true there are many now who are in dire situations but the majority at the moment really have no need for a messiah in their worldly thinking. So my theory is if this person or deception is coming on Tevet 10 then something drastic or disastrous is going to happen prior to that and if we're still here we'll know it's not Jesus because that's not how He said He would rescue us. I've seen some dates popping up about 11/21-22 and 11/28 about a possible EMP attack shutting down all the power grids maybe this could be the disaster the false messiah is going rescue the world out of in order for everyone to embrace him?

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

Dear walknbyfaith,

Great questions and insightful speculations! Thank you for joining this discussion. Actually, I am still working on finding out what could take place to make the world believe this strong delusion. Right now I strongly feel that it is tied in with Comet Ison, and will be presenting more about that shortly. Plus, even though I feel strongly that it will be this year that does not mean it will be. The date of the 10th day of the 10th month is one that gives us the time of year to expect the False Messiah, in whatever form that “coming” may take and whatever year it may fall on. Much like the Last Great Day gives us the timing and season that Christ will return.

As to meeting the Lord in the air, if the “being” that is coming is extra dimensional, it certainly would be possible for many of his followers to be caught up in some way, as in a fake rapture. I just don’t know how that will play out, but I do think there are many possibilities, as this has been planned for centuries. Another real possibility is that this “glorious being” is so convincing that millions of modern day Christians who are not grounded in the Truth, will be taken with this deception, as Christianity has become so mixed in with Islam and New Age doctrine, which believe that their Messiah is coming to earth.

I agree with your speculation that many things could happen between now and then, either having to do with Ison, or something planned by the Illuminati, and their time and weather manipulation, that could possibly lead to such destruction that the world will be longing to be saved. I strongly agree that it will have to be a situation of chaos that this False Messiah will bring order to, and as such, right now, we have many possibilities in almost every regard. Either Ison, or major earthquakes, or financial collapse, we are ripe for major disasters on all fronts.

Mainly, I wanted to alert Christians to the date when the False Messiah most likely will come, as it is one that is Biblically supported, and one that I had never seen or heard about, until John Cobb presented his findings. Other than that, I can only speculate and research into what it all means. I will continue to do that, not just as to it being a false rapture, but other possible great deceptions that could take place, that Christians not grounded in Christ and the true Gospel, could be taken in.

Thank you again, and bless you for joining in this conversation. I am sorry if I could only answer your questions with more questions, but as to exactly what and how this will all come about I really cannot answer at this time. I am still looking into it and will hopefully present more puzzle pieces and points to ponder in the near future.

We have to remember that God is allowing this to take place, and therefore it is in His hands. He is the one sending this Strong Delusion, so anything is possible.

JESUS IS ALL AND EVERYTHING!!

Your sister in Christ,

Patti C.

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

walknbyfaith
Hi Patti, just have a question and a speculation, if the false messiah is coming on Tevet 10 then in order for the world to embrace such a person wouldn't they need a reason to embrace him?

The reason to embrace him is because he says he's Jesus. The name is the reason. Everyone's beliefs are going up in flames when he appears. Remember this event called "the coming of the son of perdition" is with ALL POWER and signs and false wonders. What do you think would happen right now if the sky lit up in neon rainbow colors and a cross of fire, the earth shook with the sound of thundering trumpets, millions of sword-wielding glowing angels descend calling down lightning on armies and world leaders as a voice shakes the earth IT IS DONE! and clearly Jesus Christ has returned just as the Christians said He would and there is no such a thing as an atheist any more; they're all instantaneously converted, and there is not a single one that says "I doubt this" it will only be "I'm sorry I was wrong please just don't put me in the fire Lord Jesus I repent have mercy I was deceieved please don't hurt me" and no one is going to be able to resist it. A Christian with no knowledge of the times isn't going to be going "but I thought it said we would meet Him in sky? this doesn't match my expectations so I question this" it will only be "looks like I didn't completely understand prophecy, big surprise; but here's Jesus and the kingdom come so everything's good now"

At the first, I was taught about the spiritual understanding, and the role of the King of Babylon in prophecy as the antichrist "shadow"; I saw in the events clearly there's a false coming with a false Jesus meant to deceive the world into thinking Christ has returned. So I would say "Beware the false Christ who comes first" and people would say "When?" and I say "I don't know, but the scripture shows the King of Babylon comes first; then afterward the King of Israel."

Now, even though this was in my mind with a certainty, I would always consider my own understanding, and would then think, "But how is this resistable? How can I resists this?" Because even though I was certain of the sequence, the actual experience of such an event- how could I be certain it wasn't the real Christ and I had misinterpreted prophecy? I was honest with myself that there would always be room for reasonable doubt; what if my expectation of a false Christ was wrong? I couldn't risk denying Christ based on an expactation of understanding symbolism and type/archetype.

Then the fall festivals were revealed to me, and I understood their purpose. Now I thought, "Now I know when the true Christ, the King of Israel, will come" and this was a big revelation, but I discerned no real purpose for it. If a false advent occurred prior to this, there would still be the seed of doubt: what if I'm misreading the fall festivals and they're all fulfilled at the first century like some believe? Even though it was a big revelation, it still didn't make a false advent with "all power and signs" able to be resisted.

But that is when I went, wait. If the coming of the King of Israel is plainly appointed in scripture, and there is a King of Babylon to come prior; then what are the odds that the King of Babylon also has a day and month appointed for his coming. I then studied all biblical timings and found that ONLY the King of Babylon has such a date- and so only the two kings have the date of appearing appointed. And when I read "on the tenth day of the tenth month" I spiritually stood up from the chessboard and said CHECKMATE!

Try to look at it for a minute from a catholic point of view. This is the prophetic point of view for most Christians in the Christian world. Now all of this expectation of yours (and mine) to them is nonsense, this stuff was all aready fulfilled; all we're looking for now is a bunch of trumpets and Jesus coming in the clouds with great power. This is all we really need to convince the world. No "futurists" without knowledge of times are going to think anything other than they were wrong about their expectations. All walls are going to be breached by this seige, all cities overthrown; this is meaning spiritually that all doctrines of men will be burned up, all manmade beliefs will go into the fire, all idols will be thrown to the dumpheap- all men will turn to the "truth" of "Jesus Christ"- all but an elect remnant who do not walk by sight, but by faith, through the Word: all carnal eyes will be seeing the King of Israel, all carnal ears will be hearing the voice of the King of Israel: but the Word says, it is the King of Confusion, and this is who those with spiritual eyes will see.

Bear in mind I'm in no way discounting some great carnal calamities to set the proverbial stage- only what I am meaning to do is to say, it's not necessary; if we consider a false advent with "all power and signs" there's nothing else really necessary; the actuality of the event would overturn everything. Seeing is believing, as the carnal mind goes. But prophecy is in analogue form so it's impossible to tell how it plays out to the eyes. If I were to guess at strategies, it looks to me that what Satan is doing is to stage a war between Israel and Islam that he can appear to save Israel from, then take control of the Catholic church and start the "everlasting kingdom of God". But the problem with looking at the carnal things and trying to see where it's going is like trying to watch the greatest con-artist of all and spot his strategy: more likely than not he's just leading you pruposely off into a distraction.

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

John, point taken, so what would say about the skeptics and atheist in order for them to embrace him? Seeing is not necessarily believing if it were there wouldn't be any skeptics. My point was there are a lot of NON religious folk out there who don't give a second thought about God or allah or buddah, secular minded people who will embrace this guy. At no point in history has everyone embraced one individual even God Himself which is why in my opinion, in order for an atheist to make that leap, this person would have to rescue them out of something. I'm not being dogmatic about it but I'd think it would be a pretty hard sell otherwise.

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

Hi Walknbyfaith,

You brought up some really good points, and I hope John Cobb will see this post and answer, as I have already put in my take on it. I think you are right about many secular people who have no thoughts about spiritual matters and therefore are rather neutral on this issue. Personally, I think they have a better chance of being saved during the tribulation then the ones who have been fooled by false religions and false doctrines. But, the Lord tells us He is the One sending the Strong Delusion, so maybe because they never considered these things, and His existence, they will be overtaken by it.

I am more convinced than ever that ISON has a major role in all of this. I hope you are keeping up on all the insightful information being presented here on this forum, everyday on this subject. If you have read my studies about the 144,000 and the sealing that will happen before the Great Tribulation, you will see that I believe that this is what so many are seeing as a rapture. Yet, the meeting takes place in the air and they will return to earth in resurrected bodies and protect the church and evangelize the rest of the world. None of us goes to heaven and stays there, until the very end. There is a difference between Satan's wrath and God's wrath, the 144,000 are sealed right before Satan's wrath and the rest of the Church is raptured before God's wrath at the pouring out of the vials.

I won't go into that all here, but have a study that I am preparing and hopefully will begin posting tomorrow that explains this in a most biblically supported way. I hope it will help you understand how all these pieces fit into the whole puzzle of the awesome mystery of God's plan for His people.

Again, thanks for your input, and hopefully John will be able to shed more light on all of this.

God Bless you,

JESUS IS ALL AND EVERYTHING!!

John, point taken, so what would say about the skeptics and atheist in order for them to embrace him?

Let me try this again with a different illustration: here is a conversation between an typical atheist and a typical Christian as it would be right now:

Christian: I am a Christian, and I worship Jesus, our God.
Atheist: Yes I know what you believe. I do not believe this, though. I do not believe any gods exist at all, not your God either- this is all just a lie and not real at all, and you're a fool for believing in that nonsense. No one has ever seen anything like this bible nonsense, and no Jesus is ever coming back on any kind of judgment day.
Christian: It will happen, and Jesus will come back, and when He does you will be sorry- He will put you into the hellfire and you will suffer a never ending nightmare for not bowing to Him!
Atheist: IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN YOU ARE WRONG THERE IS NO SUCH A THING AS GOD!
Christian: IT'S TRUE WAIT AND YOU WILL SEE AND YOU WILL BE SORRY! IT'S HELLFIRE FOR YOU WHEN JESUS COMES TO JUDGE!
Atheist: NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
Christian: TRUMPETS AND FIRE! YOU WILL BE ON YOUR KNEES BEFORE JESUS! TRUMPETS AND FIRE!
Atheist: YOU ARE WRONG!

Okay so fast forward to our false advent. Joe Atheist is sitting around going "Things are kind of weird these days..." and suddenly TRUMPETS AND FIRE TRUMPETS AND FIRE! Hundreds of millions of angelic beings descending in fireworks, blowing trumpets, singing PRAISE HIM IN THE HIGHEST ALL YE NATIONS PRAISE JESUS CHRIST ALL YOU CHILDREN OF MEN and so on and so forth; and we return to our Atheist from the above dialogue who is now doing a monologue that goes something like:

Former Atheist, now on knees and sweating profusely: Forgive me Lord Jesus forgive me Lord Jesus have mercy on me a poor sinner forgive me Lord Jesus have mercy on me Lord a poor sinner forgive me Lord Jesus please not the hell forever please not the hell forever O Lord Jesus it was the teachers who taught me it was their fault for what I said, O Jesus I was just fooling about, I always really secertly believed; O Lord Jesus save me!"

And you and I are standing over a way, and I ask you, "Do you know what reason this atheist has to embrace Jesus right now as he's attempting to do?" And hopefully you answer, "Yes, the reason for his recent conversion is plainly understood."

Re: THE GREATEST DECEPTION IS COMING SOON

John, I imagine that scenario might play out for some, but, there are people who don't even know who Jesus or Muhammad is. I just look at all the households with teens and the youth of today and what they're being taught in school, who weren't raised in any kind of spiritual upbringing, they only now what their science teacher has taught them or how about career oriented people, successful just enjoying life. There are people who are completely oblivious and apathetic to anything spiritual. I remember overhearing a conversation in the mall with two teenage girls around Christmas, one girl said to the other "Did you know Christmas is Jesus' birthday? She replied, "What? Huh uh?". I've read how some are speculating it might come in the form of alien contact and they're going to tell us we are just beings of their watered down DNA. There are some who might buy that if that went down but I'm also guessing there are a lot who would not. However this plays out it will be unprecedented, and compelling enough for most all to embrace, that we can be sure of.
