Hello all!

I was studying today about a totally unrelated subject, but upon reading the following Bible verses again, a question popped into my mind. It seems so simple to see what the Lord is speaking of in the following verses, and yet those who hold to a pre-trib view spend countless hours researching when the sun will be darkened and the moon not give her light, and try and tie it in with the Pre-trib rapture of the Church. As if the time spoken of in these verses are not explicitly stated right there in plain site!!

I have read many articles, lately, written by people who are looking for a 7 year Tribulation period from which they will be raptured from in a secret coming of the Lord. They are looking at the eclipses and tetrads and certain alignments of the earth and sky, and even at the comet ISON as signs pointing to this secret rapture.

My simple question is, what do these verses about the sun and moon in the following Scriptures have to do with anything else but THE DAY OF THE LORD and the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST??

The first two Scriptures are from the Old Testament:

Isa 13:9 -10
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: THE SUN SHALL BE DARKENED IN HIS GONG FORTH, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT CAUSE HER LIGHT TO SHINE."

Joe 3:14 -15
"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The SUN AND THE MOON SHALL BE DARKENED, AND THE STARS SHALL WITHDRAW THEIR SHINING."

These next two are from the New Testament

Matthew 24:29-30
"Immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days the SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."


Mar 13:24 -27
"But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, the SUN SHALL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven."


This one is from the Book of Revelation


Rev 6:12
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the SUN BECAME BLACK as sackcloth of hair, and the MOON BECAME AS BLOOD; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.


How can these verses from Scripture be describing anything else but the LAST DAY, THE DAY OF THE LORD, THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST? And why, if this is something that happens 7 years, or even just 3.5 years AFTER your supposed rapture, are you looking to them as signs that take place BEFORE this secret rapture??

It does not make sense....it is not logical, and it most certainly is not BIBLICAL!!

Plainly the Lord's Second Coming and the Day of the Lord, and the Last Day are all the SAME DAY! And THAT DAY, does not happen before the Tribulation....as plainly stated by Jesus Himself, it happens AFTER the Tribulation. It will be a day of darkness as it will be a DAY OF JUDGMENT for ALL who have lived, and are living on the face of the WHOLE earth.

All this wasted time spent trying to predict the DAY OR HOUR when we cannot even read and understand the plain words right before us. It is not Hidden and Secret, it IS and WILL BE as plain as the SUN AND THE MOON.

We should be much more certain about our election, and having been BORN AGAIN from above than we are trying to be about pin pointing a day that does not even exist. If we are not BORN AGAIN when this DAY OF JUDGMENT comes, we will be not accounted worthy to have our names written in the Book of Life, and will therefore be thrown into the outer darkness.

It is time to get our understanding of the Holy Word of God on the right track, and more importantly to make sure we are His. Are you sure of your election, do you know for sure your name is written in the Book of Life? Yes, time is short, and we are not going to be whisked away in some secret rapture, it will be His Second Coming that comes as a thief in the night because everyone is looking for something that is not going to occur. And, this includes over 55% of those who call themselves Christians!!

If you read the above Scriptures and still think they can be used to describe a secret rapture, then please answer my question and explain to me how you could possibly see these signs as pertaining to it.

I cannot believe that no one responded trying to prove a pretrib rapture with the same old verses where it is supposedly hidden. This is good news!! Hopefully more and more are seeing this false doctrine to be part of the falling away of the church into apostasy.

I feel that once this doctrine is revealed to be false, to a believer in Christ, there will be an open door for so much Truth to flow through. This is an important place to start, as all false foundations begin to fall away, and a new foundation will take it's place, one based on Jesus, the Rock, and what He clearly tells us in His Holy Word. His message is not hidden in any way from those who have the Holy Spirit.

There is so many good articles and videos on this site exposing this false doctrine, and presenting the Truth instead. What a blessing that this site exists when there are so many others out there teaching lies, that they continue to build on. Come out of her, all those false doctrine being taught by false prophets, and truly find out that there is Truth being presented, and this is a good place to start.

Keep up the studying ......you will need it ......as the days move forward more and more people will realize that the pre tribulation rapture is a lie and will find this site when they do they will need articles like yours and Arlene's, Gerlinda, Bruce Warner and Charles Holler to help them to understand the PRE WRATH rapture position. All the different scripture based evidence to a PRE WRATH rapture and 2nd coming of the LORD rightly divided by the WORD of GOD posting will be excellent resources to share.
