The Coming Return in All His Glory of Jesus Christ the King of Kings

It is sure and certain from God's Word that Jesus will return. Here are Jesus' own words:

"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works." MATTHEW 16:27

He is not coming as a babe in a manger again - this time He is coming with all the glory of God as a KING and a JUDGE:

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, THE LORD COMETH with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." JUDE 14-15

This means that if you are alive at the time of His return YOU will stand before Him and be ruled by Him (REVELATION 19:15). Because of this, the coming of Jesus will not be welcomed by the majority of those on the earth:

"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." MATTHEW 24:30

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." REVELATION 1:7

"...when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power." 2 THESSALONIANS 1:7-9

When Jesus appears it will be to BRING THE WRATH OF GOD UPON THIS WICKED WORLD:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them." ROMANS 1:18-19

The scripture goes on to show the things for which God is angry with this world - all the fornication and idolatry and pride that we see all around us in this generation.

"Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." EPHESIANS 5:6

Here is another description of our times given hundreds of years ago in God's Word:

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD." 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-4

This is the way the world goes in our age: men everywhere living without fear of God or love of men. God is warning you from His Word that Jesus will return - and the whole earth, except for those who are looking for Him, will be caught unprepared. The judgment of God will fall on this world SUDDENLY, without warning, just as the flood in the days of Noah or the fiery destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. People will be going about their own business just as usual when IN A MOMENT it will be TOO LATE for them to repent and turn to God: they will miss out on eternal life!

"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." LUKE 17:26-30

The time of the end is appointed and fixed for all time: it may be in a number of years, or it may be tomorrow. Nobody knows except God, not even Jesus:

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." MARK 13:32

This means that you cannot neglect your salvation until the last minute, as you don't know when that is - and even if you did you might die first. But there are signs in the earth now that warn us of Jesus' return:

"And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars (Hebrew, 'palm-trees') of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." JOEL 2:30-31

It is now only a little over fifty years since the first 'mushroom' or 'palm-tree' clouds of smoke appeared in the earth. Since that time the whole world has been poised on the edge of disaster: at any time the entire population of our planet can be destroyed. Here are some other scriptures that show us things which will come to pass, whether by these means or not:

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall BURN AS AN OVEN; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, SHALL BE STUBBLE..." MALACHI 4:1

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and THE ELEMENTS SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 PETER 3:10

"And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground." JEREMIAH 25:33

"And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth." ZECHARIAH 14:12

"The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again." ISAIAH 24:20

People are always wanting to know more exactly when the end will come, and every so often someone claims to have knowledge of the time, but ANY SUCH CLAIM IS FALSE and a DECEPTION. This is what Jesus says:

"And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them." LUKE 21:7-8

There will be wars and famines and the like, just as there always have been among men:

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." MATTHEW 24:6-8

None of these things alone are indications that the end is near: however, Jesus assures us that the pattern will become WORSE AND WORSE until the whole world is DESPAIRING.

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." MATTHEW 24:21-22

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth DISTRESS of nations, with PERPLEXITY; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken... So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand" LUKE 21:25-26,31

When that day arrives it will be TOO LATE for most of the world to see to their salvation. Don't be deceived into assuming that you will have time later to repent:

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then SUDDEN DESTRUCTION cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and THEY SHALL NOT ESCAPE." 1 THESSALONIANS 5:2-3

"BE YE THEREFORE READY also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not." LUKE 12:40

The only way you can be ready for that day is to REPENT, BE BAPTIZED, and call upon God for the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST (ACTS 2:38). If you do this, God will give you eternal life. Otherwise YOU will perish in that day and will be judged by Jesus Christ. God gives you a personal assurance that this is true in the fact that Jesus is alive today:

"Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." ACTS 17:31

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." HEBREWS 9:28

"REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord..." ACTS 3:19-20

Keep looking up people, everyday is one day closer, and that to me is very exciting !

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
