When They Shall Say Peace and Safety…

In a nanosecond, or less—in the twinkling of an eye—Paul writes that one day soon, it now appears, believers in Christ will suddenly be transformed from mortality and corruption to immorality and incorruption.

Suddenly!

That’s in, 1 Corinthians 15:53-54. He tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3, “For you know perfectly that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, for when they shall say, ‘Peace and safety’, then sudden destruction shall come upon them…”

Suddenly, it will happen.

Several years ago I had a long-play record with the testimony of a man who had been imprisoned for being a part of a fraudulent scheme to electronically delay the transmission of the results of East Coast horse races to sources on the West Coast so as to allow the cohorts there to make last second-bets, on the known (to them) race winners.

This was well before the current era of Internet and digital transmissions. They only needed a few seconds window to get the bet in, and it worked…for a time. Only a few seconds were needed. But God, in less than a nanosecond, in the twinkling of an eye, can bring an end to this horse race we call “mortal life on earth” for millions of believers in Christ!

Suddenly!

There will be no time to go inside the house a grab your purse, ladies, or your shaving kit, fellows. We who are living will follow those coming from their graves, and as they rise to meet the Lord in the air, all of our physical trappings will fall away and our transformed bodies will join them in triumphant release!

John writes in 1 John 3:2-3:

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

The critical issue on which this transformation turns seems to be peace for Israel. Daniel 9:27 speaks of a covenant being signed for a seven-year period, and Paul refers to the cry of “peace and safety” in connection with the coming of the day of the Lord. Believers are urged to “Pray for the peace of Israel.”

Is this parallel, with that final statement in the Bible: “Even so, Lord Jesus, come!”?

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Taron Jerone Harris Yes it it! They are scrambling over there in the Middle East as we speak, and the global economy is in shambles. Of course the Bible is filled with prophecies, and believe it or not, history repeats itself. Very few people (including believers in Christ) know that we're actually living in the final days, months, and years of "repeated history". In the book of Genesis we read about Joseph and all of what had suffered through. Anyway, Pharaoh had a dream about 7 fat cows, 7 skinny cows, 7 big ears of corn, and 7 poor ears of corn.

Pharoah had no idea what those dreams meant, so he called on everyone to see if they could explain it to him. To his dismay, they couldn't. However, there was one man that could, and that man was Joseph. He summons for him to come, and sure enough, he was able to break it down for him (under divine authority and inspiration).

SEVEN YEARS OF PLENTY FOLLOWED BY SEVEN YEARS OF FAMINE was coming on the land of Egypt and the world. Fastforward to our time. September 11, 2001 when the twin towers fell in NYC, that was seven days before the Feast of Trumpets, and that Stock Market fell to 684 points.

Then fastforward to September 29, 2008 (Feast of Trumpets) the Stock market fell again, and it was down 777.68 points. The 7 years of plenty was from 2001-2008, after which the global economy started sinking, hence ushering in the 7 years of famine (2008-2015).


On September 13, 2015, the Feast of Trumpets will begin in Israel. Also, there will be a partial solar eclipse. Jesus has fufilled all the spring feasts (Passover-crucifixion, Unleavened Bread-burial, Firstfruits-resurrection, and Pentecost-the establishment of the Church and the sending of the Holy Spirit).


Next in line are the Fall Feasts, and the rapture is connected with the blowing of trumpets, which describes the the way this particular feast is celebrated; Leviticus chapter 23. We are coming to the end of this sabbatical cycle and the 120th Jubilee, and September 2015 will conclude this mess we call "the world". God is wrapping it up!
