THE REASON WE ARE TOLD THEY HAVE 'PALM BRANCHES' IN THEIR HANDS.........






Revelation 7:9

"After these things I looked, and behold, A GREAT MULTITUDE which no man could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with PALM BRANCHES IN THEIR HANDS,"




John 12:12

"The next day A GREAT MULTITUDE that had come to the feast when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took BRANCHES OF PALM TREES, and went out to meet Him..."




When comparing these two Scriptures you notice that the number of people present are both described a "a great multitude" with the difference being that the "great multitude" in heaven are from "all nations" , and beyond counting by a man. Both of these "great multitudes" have palm branches in their hands !




The next thing to notice that the "great multitude" in heaven have "hands" which means they are resurrected bodies "standing" before the throne in heaven. In the 5th seal John saw "souls under the alter" with no mention of "hands" or "standing". Souls are not resurrected bodies. Resurrected bodies, with hands, come ONLY from the rapture. Souls come from martyrs who are killed because of their testimony for Christ.




The next thing to notice is that the raptured resurrected bodies standing before the Lamb in heaven have Palm branches in their hands. The only reason that we are told that particular fact is to direct are attention back to the ONLY DAY in Scriptural history in which palm branches are described. THAT DAY is Nisan 10 which is the day God choose Jesus to be His unblemished Lamb.




The "great multitude" of resurrected bodies with Palm branches in their hands, standing before the Lamb in heaven, is the raptured Church. The rapture is likely to happen on a future Nisan 10, which is the Day of Palms.




The 'Day of Palms', Nisan 10 / April 18, 2016 is in the NEXT 'Jubilee Year' and is only 32 months from now !

Re: The Palms in the hands in Rev. 7...


Since the Feast of Tabernacles follows the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, then the palms in the hand of people from "ALL NATIONS, PEOPLES, KINDREDS AND TONGUES" are those minions of people from all over the world who now have "white robes"...

The "palms" indicate the Feast of Tabernacles...just as the trumpets have indicated the Feast of Trumpets, followed by the Day of Atonement.

The Feast of Tabernacles in the Book of Revelation

Several Scholars suggest that the Feast of Tabernacles lies behind the description of heavenly worship in Revelation 7. The visions of the heavenly Feast of Tabernacles in Revelation 7 reveals the countless multitude of the redeemed standing before the throne with palm branches and celebrating how the Lord led them out of “great tribulation” (Rev 7:14) and provided Christians with the needed reassurance that god would see them through their tribulation to a glorious destiny.

The booths that once symbolized how the Lord providentially protected the Israelites through their wandering into the Promised Land, now served to portray how the Lord was leading His followers to the heavenly Promised Land where God would shelter them eternally with His glorious presence.

The waving of the Palm Branches (Rev 7:9) and the Heavenly Booth (Rev 7:15 literally translated reads: “The One seated upon the throne will erect a booth over them with His presence.”) are John’s Old Testament symbols of the Feast of Tabernacles now transferred to God’s Heavenly Feast.
