THE "RAPTURE" AND THE FIRST RESURRECTION...

FOR FAIR USE AND EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

CONNECTING THE FIRST RESURRECTION (those "in Christ") WITH THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD

REVELATION 10:6.......

"And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever; who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, THAT THERE SHOULD BE TIME NO LONGER." Everything is completed at this point of time....nothing more is left to be done in this Age.

The "time no longer", or "delay", as some Bibles put it, is further explained in verse 7:

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall BEGIN TO SOUND, (last trumpet of judgment) THE MYSTERY OF GOD SHOULD BE FINISHED, as he hath declared to his servants the PROPHETS."

And this "MYSTERY" is told to us EXACTLY as it will happen at this time when there is no more "time, or delay" at this time in world events:

Refer to I Corinthians 15:51-52 for the WONDERFUL explanation of this "mystery":

"Behold, I show you a MYSTERY;(see Rev.10:6 for this exact mystery definition) We shall not all sleep, but we shall ALL BE CHANGED, (vs.52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMP: for the TRUMPET SHALL SOUND, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

This is the SAME EVENT as happens in I Thess. 4:15-16:

"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto THE COMING OF THE LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep. (vs.16) For the LORD HIMSELF SHALL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD;: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:..."

These verses ALL describe the RESURRECTION WITH THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD. Some of these verses are used to prove a "rapture" BEFORE some specific time of "tribulation" in this world for selective people. THIS PROVES THEIR ERROR.

God told us EXACTLY how it's going to happen....and WHEN it will happen. It will be at the sounding of the last trumpet judgement told about in the Book of Revelation. And, since the book of Revelation is told to us in "signs and symbols"....WE HAVE TO WATCH FOR THE SPIRITUAL MEANINGS AS WELL.

Sounds of "trumpets" have always been the signaling (warning) of something REALLY IMPORTANT to come (Exodus 19:13)...OR "trumpets" sounding the coming of an "holy convocation" (assembly of believers)...Leviticus 23:23.

There is NOTHING LEFT TO HAPPEN after this last Trumpet...because it's RESURRECTION TIME!!! The "wrath of God" cannot possibly follow the last Trumpet because what follows it is the RESURRECTION.

Read Revelation chapter 16 CAREFULLY.

The VIAL judgments are the SAME judgments as the Trumpet judgments....only INTENSIFIED. For instance, Rev.16: 3 says "the sea became as the blood of a dead man".

Revelation 8:8.."And the second angel sounded, (the 2nd Trumpet judgment) and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: AND THE THIRD PART OF THE SEA BECAME BLOOD;"

They are the SAME JUDGMENTS, ONLY INTENSIFIED! God does not clean up the bloody sea in preparation for making it bloody again!! The trumpets show 1/3...and the vials show increased intensity of the same judgments. That's why nobody has been effective in trying to make a CONSECUTIVE CHART of the events that are plausible! It's because they are not consecutive...they are concurrent.....

All this happens at the same time...."delay no longer"..."mystery finished" and the FIRST RESURRECTION at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

This is what we are meant to understand from these scriptures.

THE SECOND RESURRECTION IS SOME TIME-SPAN LATER..."ONE THOUSAND YEARS"....Rev.20:5. This includes all those who were not in the First Resurrection. Whether is is a literal or a figurative amount of time is only known to God at this time.
