I think it's so important to understand the DIFFERENCE between "Israel" and the "Jews"......and it results in WRONG prophecy belief vs CORRECT prophecy belief. So, I am placing one of my posts to enhance this video message...

In discussing prophecy, I once told someone that unless you UNDERSTAND who "Israel" is, in the Bible, you cannot determine correct interpretation of anything else.

"Israel", in the Bible, always has been (since Jacob became the FIRST "Israel" by becoming a follower of God); and is now, and always will be GOD'S PEOPLE!

If you are a believer in the God of the Bible (believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour), you are "ISRAEL" in God's eyes. If you are not a believer, then you are NOT "ISRAEL". It's that simple...and that complicated.

There have been lies scattered midst the truth. The GREATEST LIE IN THE BIBLE IS THE ONE OF THE "JEWS" AS GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE!! If you believe this lie...they you believe FALSE PROPHECY!

There is NO mention of "Jews" in the FIRST TEN BOOKS OF THE BIBLE....NOT ONCE!! Even during the Exodus of "Israel", they were a MIXED MULTITUDE...Ex.12:38. All one had to do was be CIRCUMCISED. There is not one thing said about JEWS in ALL of the covenant of circumcision made by God with Abram/Abraham. It includes NATIONS...plural...not just one nation.

"As for Me, behold, My covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a FATHER OF MANY NATIONS.....(vs.6)...I will make NATIONS of thee, and KINGS SHALL COME OUT OF THEE."...Genesis 17:4,6

"This is My covenant, which ye shall keep, between Me and you and thy seed after thee; (those naturally born through Abraham) Every man child among you shall be circumcised."....Gen.17:10

"He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money (those outside of his natural-born line...servants, etc.), must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant."...Gen.17:13

NOT ONE MENTION OF "JEW" OR "JEWISH" ANYWHERE....

When one thinks of Passover, one thinks of the Exodus...and the Jews. BUT THERE ARE NO "JEWS" IN THE EXODUS.

"And the children of ISRAEL journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND on foot that were men, beside children. (vs.38) And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.....(vs.40)...Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years."

And what was the ordinance of the passover given to Moses and Aaron? Nobody could eat unless they were circumcised....(vs.47)"ALL THE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL SHALL KEEP IT."

This was ISRAEL....AND THERE WAS NOT EVEN ONE "JEW" IN THE "MIXED MULTITUDE" WHICH CAME OUT OF EGYPT. Keeping the Passover is NOT a "Jewish Feast"...it's a FEAST OF ISRAEL. Actually, ALL THE FEASTS ARE "FEASTS OF THE LORD" beginning with the Passover, which was a foreshadow of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ as the actual "Passover Lamb"....see Leviticus chapter 23:5.

The name "Jew" and the name "Israel" are not the same name. They are not spelled the same, they don't sound the same, and they don't refer to the same people.

In the Bible, there are the Tribes of Israel who came out of Jacob/Israel. Not one "Jew" in the bunch! These tribes were split into the Nothern and Southern tribes.....these are known as the HOUSE OF JUDAH and the HOUSE OF ISRAEL.

There is not one word about "Jew" mentioned about any of these.

The FIRST time the word "Jew" appears in the Bible is in II Kings 16:6 where the JEWS were driven from Elath by Rezin, king of Syria.

THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN "JEWS", "ISRAEL" AND/OR "JUDAH" IN THE BIBLE.

Somehow, later on, people began referring to some people (apostates) of the Tribe of Judah as "Jews".....but it is not BIBLICAL; it was a "social" name taken on by an apostate people. There has NEVER BEEN A GROUP OF PEOPLE KNOWN AS "JEWS" WHO WERE EVER CALLED "THE CHOSEN OF GOD". It's just not in the Bible.

BUT, THE BIBLE BEGAN TO BE CHANGED BY PEOPLE CENTURIES AFTER THE BIBLE WAS COMPLETED.

With the rapidly expanding use in England in the 18th century for the first time in history of the greatly improved printing presses, unlimited quantities of the New Testament were printed. These revised 18th century editions of the earlier 14th century first translations into the English language were then widely distributed throughout England and the English speaking world among families who had never possessed a copy of the New Testament in any language. In these 18th century editions with revisions the word "Jew" appeared for the first time in any English translations. The word "Jew" as it was used in the 18th century editions has since continued in use in all the editions of the New Testament in the English language. At the time of Christ's Mission, in the days of His flesh, few of the citizens of Judaea were Judahites, that is, direct descendants of Judah and so the "Chosen People"; the true recipients of the Bible Covenants. Following the destruction of David's Kingdom (its dismemberment first by Babylonians and then by Assyrian's) the forced depopulation of Israel and its people in Exile and bondage, their release by Cyrus the Great and their return and restoration of the Temple, the population of Palestine was very mixed. Although some did indeed belonged to the tribe of Judah and others to one of the other tribes of Israel, many others were descendants of other patriarchs, but, especially, of Esau. These were the Edomites who had been conquered and now assimilated and become co-religionists with the Judahites and remnants of the other tribes of Israel. Moreover, this mixed race were melded together by a hybrid religion developed during the captivity in Babylon. This is the religion of the Pharisee .... Pharisaism ... the man-made religion of the Talmud that is today called Judaism. This man-centred, man-made religion was the religion vehemently condemned by Christ since it is the antithesis of the Mosaic Law and the prophets and makes the Word of God of no effect (Matt. 15:1-9).

One part I heartily disagree with is that the Bible is a "Jewish Manual". None of the OT prophets was "Jewish". Moses, who penned the Torah, was a "Hebrew" and never a "Jew". It was the purpose of ISRAEL to spread Bible truths throughout the world. Judaism is an apostate religion mostly of oral laws and traditions (and the Talmud) and was headed by the Rabbis and Pharisees. Followers called themselves "Jews".
