"Physician heal thyself" is a saying that is well known. It's the same meaning as "Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones", or (my favorite) "Isn't that just like the pot calling the kettle, 'black'."

The Bible verse that best describes this anomaly is one in Luke 6:41..."And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

None of us is "perfect"....far from it. However, many Christians believe they can be perfect in this present life. It's a delusion! And thinking that "my church is the only one believing the truth" is also a delusion. BECAUSE there are denominations PROVES that they are ALL apostate!

I have heard from many Christians that some church, other than their own, was a "cult" just because their beliefs were not alike. But, have they compared their OWN church doctrines with the Bible? Probably not...because they have unshakeable confidence in their Pastor and would NEVER challenge him/her.

We are ALL supposed to be "ONE" in our Lord Jesus Christ. But the "antichrist" spirit is alive and well among us. During these last days upon this present earth, this has increased beyond measure due to false doctrine, false bibles, and false "Christians". But then, the Bible told us this would happen....and it has! II Timothy chapter 3 (particularly) explains all about it.

Yet, EVERY ONE OF US cannot see this fault within ourselves. Evey one of us, at one time or another, is GUILTY of disobeying God by falling for the "doctrines of men". I include myself in doing this. But, with each KNOWN error I make, I "bury it" and get on with learning more TRUTH. The fortunate (or unfortunate) thing about this is that once you've determined a falsehood, you are immediately able to detect it in others.

As a consequence, more "tempers flare" when this is pointed out to those who are still holding on to those bad doctrines....the ones you've just tossed out.

And that's how it goes...and will continue to go...until our "change" comes and Jesus Christ is revealed. Nobody can alter this except to recognize these "spirits" within ourselves. We can't change anyone else until they are ready to accept truth. And this can only be done through the working of the Holy Spirit of God.

But, we ALL have to RECOGNIZE that this "antichrist spirit" is among us!

This is the antichrist spirit that we see in 1 John 2:18-22,

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us (To maintain the unity and purpose of God); but their going showed (was the evidence) that none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know (live by) the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth (love keeps them together). Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ (the anointed). Such a man is the antichrist-- he denies the Father and the Son."

When John referred to the antichrist spirit, he was referring to those within the body of Christ, those that have turned away from obedience to God's word and submission to His authority. They set up divisions and denominations. Division becomes common place and is accepted as the norm. These so-called believers come into your midst breeding deceptive disciples who focus on dissention and distort the body of Christ to win over disciples after themselves.

The anointing is nothing but a show or performance by men who can manipulate the crowds emotionally.

The antichrist spirit is accepted today because it has overcome the majority of our thinking, we just blindly accept the church this way now because it goes by the name of Christian. We are enamored by great men and forget what the scriptures have to say. Often men of good intention with pride will fall pray to this spirit and be lead to hindering the free flow of the body of Christ. The true men of God are anointed and obey the word and come together as a committed body to Christ. Everyone has a place and a share in the body of Christ. The anointing establishes us in Christ.

At this time, I believe a very important scripture to follow is the one in Acts 17:11..."These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY, whether those things were so."

This verse may very well explain why Paul had the problems such as he had with the Thessalonians (Books I & II). They were believing false doctrines and coming to conclusions that were making them fear their present circumstances. Perhaps, if they had been checking out what was true or not, in the scriptures that they had access to, then Paul wouldn't have had to go back and instruct them again....and clarify their errors.

They may not have had the complete Bible at that time, but it was certain that they had enough knowledge available for truth perception.

We ALL have access to the Bible in these days.....but false doctrine is more rampant than ever. It is because we now have "denominations" instead of unity...and all kinds of bible "versions" to choose from. And not all of them contain the truth. We are responsible to find out. If counterfeit money reduces it's value...then counterfeit bibles reduce the Christian's truth.
