I really enjoyed this one! I've read just about all of the books written by J. R. Church, and I subscribed to the magazine "Prophecy in the News", which was a wonderful way to learn things I couldn't have otherwise. Gary Stearman, who taught along with J.R, Church was also very knowledgeable of the Bible. And I learned a LOT from both of them.

The one on prophesies from the Psalms was excellent....but not AFTER THE FACT when history has proven them wrong.

When I believed in Dispensationalism (which I DO NOT now...after more spiritual insight has been gained by me through the teachings of the Holy Spirit of God alone....I John 2:27) I believed that the "Hallel Psalms" (111 through 117)were a prediction of the "Seven year Tribulation". The reason given for this is that these Psalms represented the Menorrah:

The first 3 (111, 112, and 113 all BEGAN with the phrase "Praise ye the Lord"....and the last 3 CONCLUDED with "Praise ye the Lord". And the MIDDLE Psalm (114) does not contain that phrase at all. And this was, supposedly, to point out the years of 2011 to 2017 as being the years of "the Tribulation" (the first 3 1/2 for the Church, and the second 3 1/2 for the Jews).

Since then, I have learned that Jacob (of "Jacob's Trouble" in Jeremiah 30:7) is NOT an indication of anything to do with the "Jews" of today...if ever! Jacob was the TWIN of Esau....and Esau was not a "Jew"...nor are the people who descended from Esau "Jewish". If he is not a "Jew" then neither is Jacob. "Jacob's trouble" cannot be equated with any "Great Tribulation" anywhere in the Bible. I have heard NOTHING from the pulpits about this.

Well, it is now 2013...and there is NOTHING significant to be pointed out happening in the world that could be said, "this is the Tribulation"! We are ALL in "tribulation" every day of our lives. And it's going to get worse and worse as we go on in this rapidly deteriorating (spiritually, physically, and morally) world. These "birth pangs" have been going on for centuries.

We wait....and each prediction that is made fails to materialize. We waited for the year 2000...and then more after that. Obama was "the antichrist" because he supposedly "confirmed the covenant" as told in Daniel 9:27. But that, also, was FALSE PROPHECY. NO MAN could EVER, in truth, be said to accomplish what Jesus Christ accomplished by "confirming the New Covenant" (New Testament) on the Cross of Calvary by shedding His blood for all of us! (see Gal.3:17) AND FOOLS HAVE ATTRIBUTED THIS TO A SNAKE LIKE OBAMA! And I admit, that for a short time, even I was convinced....but I, too, at that time, was a FOOL as well.

There will be no "7-year tribulation" because it is nowhere to be found in the pages of the bible....particularly the Book of Revelation!

That's why this posting is so very refreshing! It admits to making errors...but then, when they don't materialize, search out WHY mistakes are being made. But, I don't think the answers are what Pastors behind the pulpits tell us, or what authors of books "about the Bible" tell us. The answers are IN THE BIBLE ITSELF, and waiting to be found by God's chosen people....the "body of Christ".

Proverbs 25:2..."It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter."

And that's what we're supposed to be doing while passing through this present world....training to become "kings and priests" by searching out things for ourselves....and not let any "MAN" do our work for us. (That's like cheating in school....and that might make you "flunk out" when the "final exam"...judgement...comes.)

Revelation 1:6..."And hath made us KINGS AND PRIESTS unto God His Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

So, the Christian thing to do is to learn, discard what you find not to be true, and go on to learn all you can....AND COMPARE IT WITH BIBLE TRUTH before you accept it as any truth at all! Some people will fight for a LIE just because they refuse to let it go....and humble themselves to know they can be wrong as well.
