GOD HATES THE DOCTRINE OF THE "NICOLAITANES"...

FOR FAIR USE AND EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

God has His reasons for telling us that He "hates" certain things which we continue to do. And ONE reason we continue to do them is because we don't know what these things mean. It's time we learn. Then, if we learn what these things are, and we CONTINUE to do them anyway, then we must prepare ourselves for the consequences of DELIBERATE DISOBEDIENCE to God.

Revelation 2:15-16..."So hast thou also them that hold the DOCTRINE OF THE NICOLAITANES, which thing I HATE. (vs,16) REPENT; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."

There is lots of "blarney" out there in the internet in explanation of this doctrine which God "hates". It has NOTHING do do with committing adultery or having orgies in church. It has EVERYTHING to do with how today's churches are organized.

Do you have a "church leader"? Does he/she stand behind a pulpit (raised platform in front of the congregation of people)? Does this one person do all the speaking in a form called a "sermon"? Is there a "doctrinal statement" which is the "format" of this church? Does one become a "member" of this specific organization in order to have any say in how things are run? Is your "leader" selected for you? Do you feel your leader knows more about Jesus Christ and the Bible than you do? Do you have a "musician" as part of the rituals? How about a "choir"? Do you learn new things for yourself...BUT, then you discuss them with your leader to ascertain their validity? Is your leader answerable to a higher organization which puts forth their doctrines, rules, and by-laws?

If your "church" tells you how to live a better "Christian life" rather than opening up more and more Bible truths to you as time goes by, then you are NOT becoming closer to the Kingdom of God. You are learning more about how to live in this present world, instead. That is NOT our directive from our Lord Jesus Christ. "My kingdom is not of this world." See John 18:36.

IF your answer to the above questions are "yes" to anything....then, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You participate in the DOCTRINE OF THE NICOLAITANES!! You are up to your eyeballs in the THINGS GOD HATES!

Know what God says about this kind of "worship" (if it can even be called "worship")? "COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE!!"...see Rev. 18:4. You are participating in "Mystery, Babylon" which is a RELIGIOUS SYSTEM OF THE WORLD.

Also, ask yourself if you have become a "Christian" who is closer to our Lord Jesus Christ because you attend a church every week. Do you know the Bible better...or do you just learn one or two "scriptures" a week? Are you able to discern truth from lies better? If so, WHY ARE YOU STILL SITTING IN A PEW LEARNING FROM SOMEONE ELSE WHAT YOU SHOULD BE LEARNING FOR YOURSELF?

And why do you argue with other "Christians" that you are right (or your denomination is), while others must be wrong? Two people differing in their opinions on the same thing can't BOTH be correct? One is wrong, or even possibly, BOTH are wrong. Then, do you search out the answer for yourself....OR do you ask your "leader" (who, of course, is always right....just ask him!) Then, you end up knowing no more than you had at the start.

Who is your "HEAD"? The answer should ALWAYS be "Our Lord Jesus Christ" and no other.

What does your conscience tell you? That is that "small, still, voice" within you telling you that something isn't right. REPENT means to "rethink" what you are doing. Jesus Christ may be "knocking" at the door to your heart and telling you to "Come out of her"!

But then, that takes courage to admit you might be wrong. I know because I've "been there and done that". I'm not popular...but then, anyone who chooses to follow Jesus Christ, alone, is never popular. See MATTHEW 10:22. Jesus, Himself, told us this would happen.
