Will Pope Francis I be the pope to declare the Virgin Mary to be co-redemptrix with Christ and the Mediatrix between God and Man? We must be watchful because if he does he will be promoting false doctrine since 1 Timothy 2:5-6 states," For there is one God, and one mediator between God, and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." We need no Mediatrix between God and man because we already have the one mediator who is Jesus Christ. Even Mary herself recognized the need for a Saviour because Luke 1:46-47 states, "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." Also in speaking about Jesus Christ, Colossians 1:14 states, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" and Ephesians 1: states, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" So the apparition claiming to be Mary at Medjugorje must not be Mary of the Bible who was Jesus' mother because we are not redeemed through her blood. She did not shed her blood and die on the cross for our sins.
