Since you asked, yes, read in context Jesus did fulfill Daniel’s prophecy. Or, at least, the verse can be read that way. I posted a specific study regarding this some time ago.



In short, the entire prophecy of Ch 9 is a response to Daniel’s prayer asking when his Hebrew people will return to Israel and be rejoined with God in covenant. So, Jesus came in “peace” for three and a half years and ministered after His baptism, the Kingdom of God. This was a confirmation of the only covenant that matters between the Hebrew people and God. After three and a half years Jesus was “cut off”; killed on the cross. “But not for Himself” as He was resurrected and alive. He was cut off from the Hebrew people because the Pharisees and Saducees rejected Him. Jesus literally made the ultimate sacrifice. No more sacrifices were accepted from the priests by God. They knew this as their red string on the scapegoat never turned white again. There was total destruction of the temple in the first century by the “one who makes desolate”, which is Satan spiritually and the Romans by Nation. The destruction of the temple meant the Hebrews did not even attempt an offering in Jerusalem. This protected them from offending God even more. Final destruction comes with the events of Revelation.



Jesus determines the time period as seven years which He split into two by offering Himself after the three and a half years. The final three and a half years? See Revelation for His return, not in peace, but in wrath for 1260 days or 42 months prior to shortening. Our salvation owes thanks to this split as this opened the way for the Holy Spirit and the age of Grace.



So, destruction is poured out in Revelation on the desolate one, correct? This will complete the seven years of Messiah and His interaction with the Hebrews before the end(of the age).



Placing verse 26 ahead of 27 helps the context. We see Messiah as the subject, the evil prince, and desolations to the “end”. So when verse 27 starts “And he” we know the he is Messiah. Messiah, at the end, pours out destruction on the desolate as told in Revelation, also known as the revelation of Jesus Christ. The covenant “with the many” refers to the offering of salvation to all peoples. The Hebrew peoples have always been small in number.



Dan 9:26, 27



26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

God and not evil is in control



Continuing from my Pineman-Daniel post:



We should always remember that the Bible is the Word become flesh. Jesus is not only the subject, but the essence of scripture. Therefore, He is reflected strongly throughout. Revelation is the revelation of Christ, not the anti-Christ. In scripture, God’s will is always driving and Satan’s evil responding to God’s will or provision



Many of us are excited as we see prophetic events unfold, as we should be. I am as well. We are watching the ground work laid for Satan’s plan to copy God.



We should remember that Satan’s minions positioning to bring forth their plan does not infer they are in control. God is in control and no force acts without God allowing it. Whatever those minions plan or accomplish will only come to pass if it fits God’s plan. So, what God is allowing tells us more than what evil plans.



This is especially important for those younger in Christ, or not in Christ at all, when they read our postings here. Let them not get the impression the AC or any other minion has the real power. We possess the heel that crushes the head of Satan. Thank you, Jesus.

Thanks Steven for posting this interpretation.

I used to think that verses referred to the AC and no peace in my heart because of that interpretation.
Tonight, I read this interpretation and peace came into my heart regarding this interpretation of what the Bible should be that is putting Yahshua (Jesus) as the core the center of all prophecy!!!

I think it's all giving me another view of that Daniel verses and I would take this interpretation as my primary interpretation instead of referring to the AC this should referring to Christ with His covenant with many (Gentiles not Jews). The other he is the AC will come from just merely a human being not like Jesus who is divine and precious, Our God is precious and worthy to be praised.

There are so many things in Daniel's prophecy that seem so mixed up as to the timing when taught the way it has for centuries. Yet, there is little doubt parts have been fulfilled already leaving the last 3 1/2 years to be fulfilled in the End of Days. When I suspected that the "he" spoken in Daniel 9:27 meant Jesus Christ the Messiah rather than the A/C, I really took heart because for the first time, it all began to come together as making sense; history fulfilled by Jesus Christ in his 3 1/2 ministry with consequences of what would happen to the Jewish Temple because of their unbelief (fulfilled to the last stone) and the Wrath of God that will be poured out in the last 31/2 years.

Truly, looking around at the whole earth groaning as a woman in travail, can't we see that something very unusual is going on. We have Nibiru making it's return sling-shot passing with all of it's debri in it's tail soon which we seem to see already with various debris falling to earth and only God knows how badly that gravitational effect will have on earth so it will move the weaker planet earth completely out of it's place that few will actually survive. She will look like a drunken cottage. The Elite began preparing for this event long ago, hiding the truth from the masses. The waters of the oceans, lakes, rivers will cover their banks as they slosh from one side back to the other, flooding terrain so it will never look the same; flooding island nations for good.

GM, your article you posted is so completely making sense and fitting with the days we find ourselves right now. I can concur completely. We are seeing things we couldn't have imagined in our worst nightmares. So, how dare we change the way we were taught for so long? Didn't the angel tell Daniel himself to shut up much of what he was told since it would only be reveled in the End Days (Daniel 12:4) and isn't that what we are understanding now as we, this last generation, are living these days that promise "The Blessed Hope"? Thank God for that Hope or we would all die from the fear and debri that will come upon this lost world. And let us not forget the demonic creatures coming down and coming up. Who would want to be left behind? As in the Days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Thank you GM, you did a great job of presenting Daniel's prophecy in the simple way it was intended, revolving around the person of the Lord Yahusha, not the one who thinks he will usurp HIM.

If those 70 weeks are weeks of days, then those 3 score and 2 weeks are 62 weeks equaling 434 days. 62 weeks is his ministry or Year of the Lord. 7 weeks from his resurrection + 1 day is Pentecost.

This is so clear to me...there is no 7-year tribulation mentioned in here at all as I see it. When he died and gave up the ghost he said "it is finished". The 7th angel in Revelation also said "it is done".

Then in the midst of the 63rd week Messiah is cut off for the many. Now we have 7 more weeks of 49 days making 434+7+49=490 days bringing us to the end of 70 weeks.

The next day is Pentecost when the Holy Spirit comes down.

After Pentecost prince Titus comes and destroys the Temple and Jerusalem.

Then as Josephus says, 1130 years after the completion of the 1st Temple the Jews are banished from Jerusalem. I've checked all those dates in chronology and they all add up to me.

Daniel 9:24-27

[24] "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
[25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and 62 weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince [Titus] that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
[27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one [Passion] week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

Luke 4:17-21 Jesus began his ministry.
"There was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because
he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised, To
preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.
And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say unto them,
This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."

Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will
take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and
I will give you an heart of flesh."

Jeremiah 31:31 "Behold, the days come, saith
the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Hebrews 8:13 "In that he saith, A new covenant,
he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth
and waxeth old is ready to vanish away."

On the day of Pentecost that New Covenant came
into effect as the Holy Spirit began to build the third
temple. Peter preached and 3,000 believed and
received. God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom and
it is spread by LOVE.

Does "flesh out" mean to explain? ;o)

There are 52 weeks in a year then 10 more weeks of 70 days equals
52 x 7 = 364 + 70 = 434 days of weeks or 62 weeks for his ministry.
One week of 7 days for Passion Week. 62 + 1 = 63 days
7 weeks +1 day to Pentecost 7 x 7 = 49 days
62 + 1 = 63 + 7 = 70 weeks of days

434 days
7 days
49 days
490 days or 70 weeks and not 490 years

So his ministry of 62 weeks, Passion week then 7 weeks plus 1 day to Pentecost when the Holy Spirit fell on the 120 in the Upper Room. Then Peter preached to the crowd and 3,000 were saved on that Day of Pentecost the very year Christ was crucified, arose from the dead and appeared to many for 40 days and gave the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel.

Jesus accomplished everything and he even said that "it is finished" and gave up the ghost. In Revelation the 7th angel also said "it is done". It's pretty clear reading to me.

Jesus began his ministry on this day and it lasted 62 weeks or 434 days. In the midst of the 63rd week he was crucified and arose from the dead three days later. His sacrifice was accepted. So his ministry was only 62 weeks beginning when he read from Isaiah 61:1-2. He called that year the Acceptable Year for his ministry. It lasted 434 days or 62 weeks of 7 days each. John had baptized him and God had announced from Heaven that "He is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."
Daniel' 70th week ends at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down as tongues of fire and filled the 120 worshipping there. Peter then went out in the power of the Holy Spirit and preached: 3,000 believed and received.

Zech. 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."

Zech. 2:5 "For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her."

That is one year plus ca. 70 days. In one day, when he arose from the dead, he changed the world by forgiving them their sins, and it is called "Salvation". All we have to do is REPENT, BELIEVE AND RECEIVE. jfh
