Watchman Video Broadcast 11-04-12, The Translation: The Rapture and Return of Jesus Christ

Pastor Mike Hoggard discusses the Translation, most often referred to as the Rapture, and Return of Jesus Christ. Like many other Bible doctrines, Pastor Mike followed the Holy Ghost's guidance in considering nothing but the Scriptures to find out the truth. Even though he had been taught the rapture since his youth, he put aside his preconceived ideas, and hopes you will too as we delve into this two, or maybe even three part series. There is no argument that the word "rapture" is not in the Bible. The word rapture is transliterated from the Latin Bible, which is a translation of the Greek word that means "to be caught up."

Jesus said that He would return for His bride and the living and the dead would be caught up to meet Him in the air. The two angels who stood by at the Ascension provide the second witness to that statement. As to the when of the rapture, the only thing known presently is that it's at the Last Trump. God will give His people greater understanding the closer we get to the event; prophecy is best understood after it happens. Notwithstanding, Christians are not appointed to wrath, the purpose of the rapture is not to save believers out of the earth before the really bad stuff from the Book of Revelation starts to happen.

Pastor Mike beautifully explains how the promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled through the church. Christians have been going through horrible things for two thousand years, and we are no more special than those who have been burned at the stake, hacked to death or imprisoned for their faith. The translation and the return of Jesus Christ is a magnificent love story that was even foretold in the pages of the Old Testament through people like David, Joseph and Ruth. This teaching will fill your heart with wonder to realize the depth of God's love for His people, His bride and especially for Israel.

Watchman Video Broadcast 11-11-12, The Translation Part 2

Pastor Mike Hoggard continues with part two of the Biblical teaching on the Return of Jesus Christ and the Translation of the Gentile Church, most often referred to as the Rapture.

Most serious students and teachers of the Bible readily quote 1 Timothy 3:16-17 to say that the Bible has all the answers concerning Christian belief and practice, but then promptly go to Doctor So and So's teaching or compare commentaries and lexicons. They forget the Bible is a self-contained, supernatural work embedded with God's signature, inlaid with patterns of language, the use of numbers and real historical events casting a 4th dimensional shadow explicitly for the future, i.e., today.

The whole of the Bible is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and His return to catch up believers to Himself at the end of the Gentile age, after which God puts His attention back to His beloved Israel. This is an outstanding study of the translation of the church. Did such an event happen previously? Which Christians will go? What really is the purpose of the translation? The general understanding among most Christians is that the Holy Spirit will depart from the earth with the believers, but this is not the case.

Through the stories of Moses, Joshua, David, Asa, and Ezra in the Old Testament, corroborated with Scriptures from the New Testament, Pastor Mike reveals God's plan for the translation of the Gentiles, and the future salvation of the remnant of the 12 Tribes. Pastor Mike lovingly explains the criteria for a Christian to go in the translation. There is even a hint of the translation in the 10 Commandments -- but you will have to wait until next week's Watchman Video Broadcast to find out more.

Watchman Video Broadcast 11-21-12, The Translation Part 3

Pastor Mike Hoggard continues with part three of the series on the Translation of the Gentile Church, the Ten Commandments.

The Bible is such a vast storehouse of types, similitudes, and ensamples that God placed before us to truly understand what is going to happen in the future by what has happened in the past. As promised in the last teaching, Pastor Mike explains that Moses and the giving of the ten commandments foreshadows the first and second coming of Jesus Christ. It's a beautiful and precise analogy. The translation (or rapture) of the church has everything to do with life and death. If you believe the Bible, you must believe this. It is the very essence of Jesus Christ, His first coming and rejection and His second coming and acceptance.

Part Four of this series will deal with the revelation of the man of sin, the key to which is found in the days of Noah. Just as Adam and Eve were given a choice in the Garden of Eden, the Jews were given a choice between Barabbas and Jesus, we will have a clear choice between Jesus and the antichrist.
