Interesting letter Sandra.
I understand your concerns about correctly interpreting the bible
However this issue re the temple is of great debate.
Many Christians do not see it's necessity because of what Jesus did on the cross.
He ended sacrifice for sin forever.
So Jonathan isn't the only one who says this.
So you have to be careful of some of the debates.
Some folks try to make it sound like you are unbiblical if you disagree with them on an issue of controversy.
I am not saying that Jonathan is perfect, he certainly has his flaws and I think he would admit that.
So to we, nobody here is perfect, we all have some disagreements.

I was involved with a dig in Israel twice re the second temple.
So I don't rule it out

But what Jonathan shared about Jesus saying he was the temple is true.
His temple [body] was tore down and restored in 3 days
Obama did stand at the freedom tower and say "Be still and know that I am God"
So some of us think that he will be assassinated and rise in 3 days because that would mimic Christ.
Thus he would be the anti christ.

If this war happens in Israel, the big hero that will stop the fighting will be the AC
He will go to Israel and probably stand in the temple mount Dome of the Rock
That building is built over the rock in which Abraham attempted to sacrifice his son Isaac
That building is built out of the original temple
The beautiful marble columns in that building were from the original temple
However they are now upside down.
Isn't that fitting for the AC?

The temple of God that is razed by the antichrist is the church of Christ:

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Anyone in expectation of an earthly Jewish temple is simply misunderstanding prophecy by using the carnal mind in understanding instead of the spiritual mind. The earthly temple was judged and destroyed by the earthly King of Confusion; the earthly things are simply shadows of spiritual things and the spiritual King of Confusion (comes down on the 10th day of the 10th month)- under the Old covenant things occured after the earthly fashion- under the New covenant these things occur after the heavenly fashion.

Moses came to deliver from earthly bondage; Jesus came to deliver from spiritual bondage; first the earthly, then the spiritual. Everyone in expectation of earthly wars, and earthly temples are not comprehending prophecy. The antichrist does not attack the church with earthly armies bearing earthly swords as was done during the earthly course of the Sinai covenant- but his armies are lying angels who attack the church with great and abominable lies.

Satan will come as an imposter of Jesus Christ and most of the professing Christians will be utterly overcome by his armies and their swords will slay them with spiritual death- they will lose their crown of life. The antichrist himself is the abomination that causes desolation; he will be enthroned as Lord and Christ by the leaders of the churches, he will be called the King of Israel; he will take his place in the church of Christ to sit in the throne of God- this is the abomination that causes desolation: and this is desolation of the churches- only a small remnant will remain faithful to the TRUE King of Israel, Jesus Christ; all others will be overcome by the deception, and fall away from Jesus Christ in the apostacy- this is the judgment of the temple of God: not one stone will be left upon another.

The "daily sacrifices" are the prayers of the saints, which will then be directed to Satan on the throne of God:

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

once Satan has deceived and destroyed the churches through his lies, their spiritual sacrifices will become "strange fire", abominable before God. But all the while they will be singing and joyous, saying PEACE PEACE as they think the kingdom of God has come, and Christ sits on the throne of God ruling the nations. This is GREAT CONFUSION, and this will be then judged and destroyed by the elected ones- to prepare the way of the Lord in the destruction of confusion.
