"Emotions about the Nearness of the Rapture: Wants, desires, longings and needs---"

I was glad to learn about the Return of Jesus Christ in THIS generation at a time when "this life" was going pretty well for me. Thus, I had a true desire as my motive...... You could say a Longing in my heart.
I still have a Longing.....and a desire.... nothing can change that.
But, over the course of the last 15 years, as events in my THIS life have produced good times.....challenging times....and even BAD times..... my emotions about the Rapture have run the full cycle. So, no matter where YOU are right now----- I'VE BEEN THERE TOO. And chances are alot of other FiveDoves people have felt all the same emotions, somehwere along the way, that we all have!!
THIS life is still going OK....... not as "flush" as it once was. (lol.......frown!) Not as "easy" as it once was, for the same reason.
BTW....I'm still feeling a little miffed that we are STILL here...... not just after the Fall Feasts, but here at all, after so many years of "watching." Oh well.....what are you going to do??
I have been very hesitant to blow off THIS life and just HOPE and HOPE and HOPE for the Rapture.....much as I'd LIKE to many days.
My job, ties in VERY CLOSELY to all the "DOMINOEs" that are all lined up and ready to fall.
ie,
The US and World Economies and Stock Markets.....which also rest closely with when/if Israel goas after Iran and ALL the fallout from that, like the price of oil and the Markets.... UGH!!
Picture THIS dilemma:
I do LONG TERM FINANCIAL planning for people....... have done so for over 30 years.
and...
I have a deep expectation of a (soon) Pre-Trib Rapture and the Return of Jesus Christ.
WOW.....now, isn't THAT a dilemma!!??? lol.....
How do I cope?? My philosophy is and MUST be:
1) Live like it could be today....but
2) PLAN (finances) as if these events are still 50 years out. (BUT....keep an eye on the events in the Middle East and get out of "non-guaranteed" assets the day the news hits that israel has attacked or been attacked.) I'd rather error on the side of caution, than sit there and NOT DO ANYTHING.
And...so far, the optimism of the markets has ONCE AGAIN proven to be true, as the markets have rebounded (since 200
almost back to record highs... GO FIGURE!! So.....that's where my emotions are on the "when" of the Rapture....
And, some days I'm feeling more NEEDY than others....and it is on THOSE Days, when I post on Five Doves...
So......am I crazy? Am I coping as best I can, considering? I dunno...... I'm just trying to do the best I can..... every day... and leave the results with God. And......hoping God steps in sooner....and not later.......with all His LAST of the Last Days Plans.
Tick tock....I HOPE SO!!

PS......as a result of my "prediction" this year about the Rapture on Rosh Hashanah..... I met a local guy who reminds me of John the Baptist....looks just like him!! (My guess.....just a little older!) Anyway..... He, too felt the Rapture would be THIS fall. Hey, ALOT OF PEOPLE were hoping for THIS fall.... So..... the disappointment runs deep.....and ALL the reasons WHY, have still NOT gone away. ie, the world economic problems, the poor leadership in the USA, the moral decline, the rise in natural disasters....etc, etc. etc.... so the hope just remains high...
But.....as an article I saw a few months ago about the markets stated "HOPE is NOT a Strategy."
I don't know..... didn't the Bible say that we, as Believers must have HOPE....HOPE of the Resurrection..... HOPE of the Rapture. So...for Believers....maybe HOPE IS OUR STRATEGY ..
HOPE....... you bet!!
