This is a hard message which Elijah has given out several times over the years. The 144,000 are the Gentile bride which will shortly be called up, Revelation 14:1-5. They are called "virgins" as they are of the wise virgins mentioned in Matthew 25:1-10.
The chosen 144,000 are those that walk closely with the Lord and keep His Ten Commandments including the seventh day sabbath, observing this day of rest from sundown to sundown. The average church does not teach these things.
So there are not going to be millions caught up, but just a small remnant. Read Matthew 7:21-27 which speaks of a wise man. According to these verses, works do not make you eligible to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is the blood of the Lamb AND being obedient to the Lord's ten commandments so you are found righteous when the Lord calls, 1 John 2:4-5.

"26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
