In Daniel, Chapter 9, we read that Daniel studied the prophet Jeremiah to confirm the years of Judah’s Exile in Babylon were now coming to an end – soon afterwards a remnant of Judah would
“Come out of Babylon”

and return to Jerusalem. History tells us that it was only a remnant of Judah that would return, and the majority of Judah would remain in Babylon for various reasons. Our own condition today is a similar situation to that which Daniel experienced, thus what Daniel did presents us with a strong a shadow type of what we are being called to do at this time as biblically required for the remnant

will “come out of her” and return to Zion. What did Daniel do? He began to pray and intercede for the House of Judah and the House of Israel that was at that time already scattered to the ends of the earth! The Words of Daniel’s prayer are very significant to our own call to prayer in these last days:

Daniel 9: snip-

4 And I prayed unto YHVH my Elohiym, and made my confession, and said, O Adonay, the great and dreadful Elohiym, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

Jeremiah 36

Jeremiah, write this dowm, and perhaps the people will repent? Then I will be able to forgive their sin and wrong doings.

But the king threw Jeremiahs words, his scroll, into the fire.

But really they were God's words, and not Jeremiah's, God's message to his people and not Jeremaih's mressage,.. . For Jeremiah was a prophet of God.

Rev. 2: 16 Repent of your sin or I will come suddenly and fight against the church (at Pergamum) with the sword of my mouth.

And we can be sure that we know that we know him,
if we obey his commandments. 1 John 2: 3 NLT
