Yahusha/JESUS gave signs of what must happen before His Return:  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"  Matt. 24:29 (KJV)

The parousia

What is the parousia? It is mentioned in these verses:

Mt 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy PAROUSIA, and of the end of the world?
Mt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the PAROUSIA of the Son of man be.
Mt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the PAROUSIA of the Son of man be.
Mt 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the PAROUSIA of the Son of man be.

Of what event would you think Jesus is speaking? A bright event which takes away all of the wicked.

Paul speaks of it here:

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his PAROUSIA.
1Th 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his PAROUSIA?
1Th 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the PAROUSIA of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Paul speaks here of the destruction of that Wicked by the brightness of the PAROUSIA:

2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his PAROUSIA:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose PAROUSIA is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Of what event would you think Paul is speaking? An event which is bright, resurrects the dead and destroys that Wicked. Note that the PAROUSIA of that Wicked precedes the PAROUSIA of the Lord by some amount of time, and that the PAROUSIA of that Wicked comes with all power and signs (this will begin on the 10th day of the 10th month of some future year).

But one thing is sure: whenever this bright PAROUSIA event takes place which resurrects the dead and destroys the wicked; Paul says by the word of the Lord that this is when the rapture occurs.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the PAROUSIA of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
