When God issues a 'standing order' to the Israelites He expects it to be carried out to the letter. When God caused His holy city and the temple mount to be re-possessed by Israel in 1967, He did not want Jerusalem to be divided and shared with the Muslims. He wanted them to be "driven out." He wanted Israel to be the sole occupant of His holy city and temple mount. He did not want the Dome of the Rock mosque to be left standing. He wanted it demolished! Because the Israelites disobeyed God's 'standing order' He will accomplish His goals during His coming vengeance upon Israel which is the Gog-Magog War - more commonly referred to as the 'great tribulation of Israel'.

They just don't listen! Even after 2,000 years of dispersion and after God brings them back into their Promised Land for the second time - They just don't listen!

WHOA NELLI! There's a lot going on here...

Let's look at just one aspect of this post. What was on that mountain?

Apparently this discussion is based on the pretext that there is a mosque on the mountain top today, and, it needs to be destroyed ASAP. This seems to be what is "fueling the fire" on this post.

WHOOPS! When we post, it is helpful to get the basic facts correct! The book, Halley's Bible Handbook, is a good place to start.

First of all, the mountain top has a great deal of history, way back to Abraham!

Later, when the people of Israel eventually crossed the Jordan, there was no "mosque" on Mt. Moriah. In fact there is no mosque there today!

Many people think that there is, but that building with the golden doom, is a shrine, not a mosque. This is important.

There are mosques all around it, but this is a shrine, not a Mosque. It's called, "The Dome of the Rock." This is a description as well.

It is interesting to study the sequence of buildings erected on the Mount, as well as their usage over the centuries.

However, we cannot assume that we know the facts until we use Halley's handbook, or even GOOGLE, to check the facts. This advice pertains to the person writing this post, as well.

The people of Israel, after crossing the Jordan, made a few stops on their way to what was to become Jerusalem.

Scholars date the first temple; built by King Solomon, at 832 B.C. After it's destruction, a second temple was built, and stood on the mount from 516 B.C., to 70 A.D.

It has been estimated that Jesus was likely born from 6 B.C. to 4 B.C., and scholars indicate that he died close to 29 A.D.

Therefore at about 12 years of age, the time of the Jewish Bar Mitzvah, it was recorded that Jesus, (Yeshua), went up to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, with his parents.

These temples are long gone, now.

It is important to understand that the ROCK under the buildings, is the most significant issue even today.

There is such a wonderful truth to discover when we study the history of that rocky area, known as "The Foundation Stone." Here Abraham planned to sacrifice Issac...and sometime soon, the Third Temple will be erected.
