Hello, John and Doves,

It is my opinion that the Jubilee years have continued without interruption since they were instituted when the children of Israel entered the promised land.



It is written,

"Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the LORD." Leviticus 25:2



The date that the children of Israel came into the land must have been during the grape harvest, in the fall of the year. That year was 40 years after the Exodus. The Exodus occurred on Passover, 14-15 Nisan of 2305, which was in 1455 BC. Their first attempt to take over the Promised Land failed before it started, in the fall--the start of 2306, but still 1455 BC. Thus, the children of Israel entered the promised land at the beginning of 2346, in the fall. Yom Kippur marked the end of the grape harvest.



If the count had started (but it had not), then 2346, beginning at Yom Kippur, would have been the first Jubilee year, since the children of Israel began to come into their rightful inheritance.



The very first Jubilee year happened 49 years later, in the fiftieth year of the possession of the children of Israel of the Promised Land. In this way, every 49th year thereafter has been a Jubilee year.



It is written,

"Seventy sevens are determined on your people...." Daniel 9:24



These "seventy sevens" have been interpreted in a number of ways over the centuries since it was written down in the book of the prophet Daniel. This period of time can be taken to refer to sevens of shmitas. In that case, there are seventy Jubilees determined on the children of Israel,

"...and upon...[the] holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision ]and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy." Daniel 9:24



Verse twenty-five gives a different kind of count. Verse 25 says emphatically that the entire Church Age is but a hiccup and a burp between the Passion of Our LORD and His Second Coming. But for the love of God, the Goyim count for nothing. Yet it is written,

"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd." John 10:16



This verse, then, is a clue that the "seventy sevens" count of Daniel 9:24 need not be interrupted by the Church Age. The only kind of count that accomplishes this feat is a Jubilee count, counting from Yom Kippur, 2346--or the fall of 1415 BC. If we add 28 Jubilees to this date, we get 43 BC. If we add another Jubilee, we come to the 29th Jubilee, 6 AD. Only 41 more Jubilees to go! 41 X 49 = 2009. So, 6 AD plus 2009 years equals the 70th Jubilee, starting on Yom Kippur, 2015.



The fall of 2015 witnesses the beginning of 5776. 2346 + (70 X 49) = 2346 + 3430 = 5776. End of story.
