Occupy Wall Street and the Antichrist


Dan 11:23-24 KJV - [23] And after the league [made] with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people. [24] He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do [that] which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: [yea], and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.


Let me say at the outset that capitalism is far superior to socialism/Marxism. There are multitudes of great companies who did not take bailout money from the Fed gov. nor did they directly contribute to the causes of the 2008 meltdown. However, the OWS movement seems to be lumping all corporations together, calling for the destruction of Wall Street and capitalism. The protestors are likely the ‘useful idiots’ of some left-wing organization, which may be even SANCTIONED by the President himself.


According to Sourcewatch.org (link below) the total bailout funds disbursed since the end of 2008 until the present are $4.76 TRILLION dollars of taxpayer money! The total promised is an unbelievable $13.87 TRILLION! When then candidate for president Barack Obama espoused ‘SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND’ in 2008, most of his followers thought they were referring to spreading it around to THEM. Such hasn’t been the case, much to their dismay. In fact, most of the $trillions have been scattered in the FATTEST places of the province of New York, on Wall Street and NOT Main Street.



It isn’t difficult to see the parallel between what is going on there and the passage in Daniel 11. The Bible’s NIV version assumes the meaning of ‘scattering the spoil’ among the AC’s followers (adding that word), while the KJV only states the words from the original text, which does not include spreading it among his followers. A clue offered in the text dispels the notion that the AC will disburse the spoils among his faithful, in that neither his father, nor his father’s father had done so. Spreading booty among one’s following is NOT by any means unprecedented. In fact it is the norm. Spreading the spoils in the fattest places of the province though is seemingly out-of-the-box in context of this passage. The passage also says the AC will ‘forecast’ his devices against the strongholds’.


So why would the AC of Daniel’s passage, both spread the spoils in the fattest, strongest place of the province (the financial might of a nation) and also forecast his devices against it?


By spreading the wealth in the fattest place, the AC also fosters resentment against that stronghold, leading to its eventual destruction by a small (but growing) group of discontented people.


Without a doubt, fear of Barack Obama’s socialist dogma was one factor in the economic collapse of late 2008(and still is). It became apparent during the fall election that Mr. Obama(the professed socialist) would inevitably become the leader of the world’s largest free-market economy. Investors reacting to that and many other causes, scrambled to secure their wealth from his promised looting, pulling their money out of the economy.



Want and covetousness are powerful motivators of rebellion. A few small voices in a Wall Street park whispering envy to the masses may lead to anarchy and the total collapse of our system, just as those voices have in some middle-eastern countries. BHO’s professed goals of socialism/Marxism could then be realized, being the ‘will of the people’. He could declare martial law and assume total power peaceably, without ever firing a shot. Undeniably, BHO’s devices are community organized groups like ACORN. Real financial pain plus one’s seething envy of the more fortunate is the dangerous path being heavily promoted by such left-wing organizations. It remains to be proven whether or not BHO is ultimately behind the protests OR if he is the prophesied antichrist. Either way, he will manipulate their discontent to his political advantage you can be sure. The protestors claim to represent 99% of Americans, remain the 1%: Wide is the path to destruction, narrow is the way to life.
