Pope warns Lutherans of challenge from Pentecostals

“This is a form of Christianity with little institutional depth, little rationality and even less dogmatic content, and with little stability”.
Lutheran Bishop Nikolaus Schneider warns against Christians that do not recognize nor accept their authority.
This was the message from the Pope when he visited a monastery in Germany where Martin Luther lived before launching the Reformation.
The Pope warned his Lutheran hosts on Friday that what he called “a new form of Christianity” posed a challenge to mainline Protestants and Catholics alike. While not naming them, it was clear that the pope, whose visit to this small city south of Berlin was sparsely attended, was referring to the evangelical and Pentecostal churches which have been attracting converts from more established churches, especially in Third World countries.
“Faced with a new form of Christianity, which is spreading with overpowering missionary dynamism, sometimes in frightening ways, the mainstream Christian denominations often seem at a loss,” the pope said on the second day of his third trip to his homeland as pontiff. “This is a form of Christianity with little institutional depth, little rationality and even less dogmatic content, and with little stability. This worldwide phenomenon poses a question to us all: what is this new form of Christianity saying to us, for better and for worse?”

My comment:
There is a lot of stuff that is presented as “Christianity”, but is not. The counterfeit stuff have some few things in common. One of them is that they deny the doctrine of Sola Scripture, and add new doctrines to the Word of God.
This kind of false Christianity is best known as Roman Catholicism. But there are other versions also. They can be classified into three major different categories.
1. The gospel of prosperity.
2. The healing gospel
3. The social justice gospel.
Within the Charismatic Pentecostal camp the first falsehood is most common. The gospel of mercy and grace alone, have been replaced by a “performance gospel”. If you give the pastors your bucks, “God the ATM” will reward you.
The healing gospel is widely used inside the Lutheran camp also. The problem with this gospel, is that healing of the flesh is not for believers only, but for non believers alike. So any doctrine can be introduced to people, who demand healing, sign and miracles.
The social justice gospel, is the falsehood that bring all religious people together. It is presently promoted inside all mainline churches, and will be the compromising agent that will fuel the One World Religion.
How “institutionalized” were the students of Jesus?
How “Institutionalized” have the revivals been through history?
The Pope will be the catalyst to get all kind of corrupt and counterfeit “Christians” to unite. They will push Bible obeying Christians into the corner, and claim they are the dangerous false Christians. Those who are not “institutionalized”, and do not submit to the ordained clergy approved or blessed by Rome.
John 10:16
I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
For 2.000 years it has been like this. False Christianity promoted by Rome and true Christianity have lived in two separated Churches. When Jesus comes back He will sternly judge all who sided with the enemies of truth.
Watch out. Let no one deceive you to walk away with false Christians.
