Who are these watchmen?

There are 12 verses found in the old testament...10 verses for WATCHMEN are not bad ones...

1Samuel:14:16: And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another."

2Kings:17:9: "And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city."

2Kings:18:8: "He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city."

Song of Solomon:3:3: "The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?"

Isaiah:52:8: "Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion."

Isaiah:62:6: "I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,..."

Jeremiah:6:17: "Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken."

Jeremiah:31:6: "For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God."

Jeremiah:51:12: "Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon."

Micah:7:4: "The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity."

The BAD WATCHMEN...2 verses

Song of Solomon:5:7: "The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me."

Isaiah:56:10: "His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber."

The Angry Watchmen are those who stopped the Bride from returning to Bridegroom.

Are these Angry Watchmen 'True' Believers?

Watchmen who are waiting for Christ' 2nd coming?

I guess the Angry Watchmen could indeed be True Believers who had waited for Christ's 2nd coming...but are also Wicked men who became Angry that Christ delayed...and so began ill-treating the Church Bride.

Luke:12:42-48: "And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

43: Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

44: Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45: But and if that servant[True Believer but unfaithful and unwise] say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

46: The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.[Jesus is comparing the unfaith&unwise believer with unbeliever]

47: And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48: But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."

another similar passage for the unfaithful unwise believers...

Matthew:24:45-51: "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46: Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47: Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48: But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49: And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

Christ is calling and Judging HIS Churches...only HIS Bride is RAPTURED! the rest of the unfaithful and unwise believers will be cast out into the OUTER DARKNESS (NOT HELL)...see post

for us who are were or had been Angry Watchmen be careful...we have to examine ourselves...

2Corinthians:13:5: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"

Only the Bride has the HolySpirit and so Christ will not cast out.

John:6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

Only Christ can fulfil His Laws!
Only Christ can overcome!

Pray that we will allow Christ to Reign in us.

Pray that we will be faithful and need not be tried 10days more like Church of Smyrna...

Pray that we will be wise and treat our fellow brethren(sisters) well.
