I know you are praying for my people in Israel who are suffering so greatly right now. My heart aches for those who lost a loved one and those who are waiting at the hospital, grieving over the injuries of their friends and family members. Please take a moment to watch this brief video that will update you on the situation in Israel.



The bombing in Jerusalem was just the latest in a series of increasingly violent attacks by Palestinian terrorists against Israel. More than fifty rockets and mortars were fired into southern towns like Sderot over the weekend. This was followed by the launch of longer-range rockets into Beersheba and other Israeli cities. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committee both issued statements praising the deadly bombing.

Police and security officials continue to search for those responsible for the bombing. The Israeli government has not yet officially responded or launched retaliatory strikes, but Ehud Barak issued a statement that read in part: “We will not tolerate attacks on Israeli civilians, neither in the southern communities, nor in Jerusalem.” Barak also said Israel would hold Hamas responsible for the attack.

I also ask that you join me to be a blessing to the Jewish people during their time of trouble. Passover is coming in just a few weeks—a time of joyful celebration. But for poor Jewish people, it will be a time of hunger instead...unless we act now. We need at least 2,000 Jerusalem Prayer Team members to help the hurting and bless them with a Passover meal.
