In Wake of Trump’s Announcement, Rush to Move Embassies to Jerusalem, For Good and Bad
US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital three weeks ago served as a powerful catalyst, leading some countries to rally behind him and move their embassies to the Holy City while causing others to double down on their anti-Israel agendas. The first to get behind President Trump was the Czech Republic, a long-time ally of Israel, who announced their intentions the day after the president’s historic speech.

As I read this article I got goose-bumps when I read that the first country to follow suit to move their Embassy to Jerusalem behind the United States was the Czeck. Republic. The Czeck people have always been strong-minded, anti-Hitler fighters for the right of a man to make his own way and to live in peace. My little grandpa was one of these who stood on the side of the street as Hitler came through, not waving & cheering him but lifting his fist in defiance.

Regardless of who it is that is running this country of Israel at this time, the fact remains, it was the capitol of the Land of Promise given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jacob's son David became the King that made this land a place where the One True God of Israel was honored and worshipped.

David bought the Temple Mount for a price even though it was offered to him by a Jebusite for free. He knew that when you do not pay for something, it is not yours. Many centuries later, we have the dispute over the Temple Mount yet scripture tells us that King David purchased that Land. II Samuel 24: "David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel"

Yet, that does not seem to be good enough. There are too many who take what is not theirs to take. That is why we have war, something that at the end, the Bible tells us, "They shall learn war no more". Isaiah 2:4

He bought the place from Arauna the Jebusite. Why did he need to buy a place which G-d had promised and given for ever to the people of Israel? The answer is that three places in the land of Israel were bought by the people of Israel even though the land had been promised by G-d because when nations come and say: "this land does not belong to you.", the answer to them will be: "This land was given to us by G-d Who is the owner of all the universe, and we also paid for those three places which symbolize this land." These three places are the Temple Mount, The Machpelah cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron and the Tomb of Joseph in Shechem. King David built an altar and made a thanksgiving sacrifice on this rock. His son, King Solomon, built the First Temple, on this rock, 3,000 years ago. The rock became the place of sacrifice in the First and Second Temples when the altar was built on the rock.
