- the war in 1998 - 2000 that resulted in 100,000 death and 200,000 miss-placed people
- 17 million people startving in 2005
- the death fo students, mainly university
- the death of 42+ people in addiss
- the arrest of over 4000 students
- ethnic cleansing and division
