Kudos to the Prime Minster for his Enlightening letters. (By Said Aman)

Kudos to the Prime Minster
for his
Enlightening letters

The Prime Minister's letters scrutinizing the report by Anna Gomes is
a pre-emptive strike meant to put her on the defensive and I strongly
believe that his Excellency was able to do exactly that. The other
unintended benefit of the letter is that it may contribute in defusing
the tense situation simply because the Ethiopian people will know what
the good lady was intending in producing such a report. Obviously, not
assisting Ethiopia in its transition to democracy, but becoming a tool
of the opposition parties.

Now that he brilliantly pointed out all the mixing of apples and
oranges in her repot, it has become apparent that something has
influenced her judgment. Of course the leaking of the document to CUD
has definitely substantiated the one-sidedness of her report but I
also believe that this leak is a blessing in disguise to the many of
us who wish to see the completion of the election peacefully. Having
said that, as the Prime Minister rightly put it, EU-EOM observers have
not come to Ethiopia with a mandate to recommend what type of
government system is good for the Ethiopian people but rather, as the
name indicates, observe and report simple and easy.

As to the remark on some of the changes in the Municipality and being
an obstacle to the smooth operation of the opposition in the
parliament, it has no grain of truth. I am sure she is familiar with
some of the Democracies of the world and how they conduct business,
unless her biases have clouded her thinking ability. For instance in
the country where I live, Canada, it is customary to see that an
outgoing government hastening some bills to be passed by the
parliament before its term is over and the opposition would vie to
defeat the bill once they assume power. Therefore, to include this in
her report is beyond anybody's comprehension and it only puts her
professionalism on line and this is of course assuming that she has
any of that left.

Again, I give credit to Prime Minister for the timely letters.

I think you have the right to support baseless pm letter respond to Anna. The pm is arrogant and criminal. may be you will be calling you for a witnness when pm appears infront of international court. Please, use your mind before supporting tyrant.

God bless Ethiopia

Zenawi broke another record when he and his mother who voted for the secession of Eritrea found themselves in two opposing and warring camps. A mother and son who made himself a 'prime minister' in Ethiopia confronting his mother in the opposing camp is unusual.

Gebrelikiskis,

To prove a point is one thing, but to sink low and insult visitor is quite stupid. Visitors who feed the very people you are trying to starve to death.

YOU PEOPLE ARE EVEN RUNNING OUT OF STUPIDNESS.

GOD IS ON OUR SIDE.
