CITIZENS ARE ENTITLED FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION ………….

Every civilized nation elected officials are bound for scrutiny. Ethiopia is no different than any other nation that should not follow this ethics to be governed by people for the people with sated integrity. The current situation in Ethiopia is the consequence of this. At present, the leading government is a gathering of thugs out of no-where that refused to be neither questioned nor fully comprehend that being in a government office must be serving the people at its best. They are intensely engaged prolonging their power forever if it is even possible. A long 14 years and 5 more years to come with a same set of people so occupied with dictatorship, is a bit too much.

Now what the future holds?

Every individual who wants to work or serve the public as an elected official is subject for evaluations, criticisms and as well fully disclose his/her past, present and future agenda for the office they are running for. To be elected and get full support by the public, this candidate as being future public figure should be cautious of this subject matter, and be responsive accordingly to validate his/her being as individual to govern or lead an office.

Having said that, who are these Opposition groups? Who are these individuals?
After watching Hailu Shawel tumbling to answer the question thrown at him about his past from Hard Talk journalist, many of us were forced to set back from this individual.
Dr. Berhanu Nega in the contrary, fully unveiled his rap sheet for us. We were convinced of his record and we all have fallen for him. Dr. Berhanu Nega deserves the position of mayor and will succeed with all our support. Very handful followed this suit introducing their resume; indeed you have to do intense research to see and put the puzzle together to find out about any of them.

Therefore, the outstanding private journalists in Ethiopia, journalists outside Ethiopia, people in diasporas, and people of Ethiopia should ask and publish the full disclosure of these individuals’ resume and information out to the public for the public.

This is a time and a generation to do right for this country, to do justice for the people who are living in it. Currently, an outstanding movement has started by the citizens for the best of this country. People who are involved for this upward progress in key positions as leaders should not be criminals, thugs and unqualified individuals if this country is heading to break off from this vicious cycle of the past history. The criminals of the current government or many litters of the past Derge regimes should not be set for a job to do the same as what they have done way back in their time. There are many Derge’s pity minions, EPRP, EPRDF... etc criminals that killed and slaughter people for unjustified reason, as we all aware of that. These individuals slipped through the cracks unpunished from deeds they committed while they were at power. Furthermore, we shouldn’t be putting them to power by electing them for an office, now or ever.

Ethiopians deserve true intellects to govern and lead. The present Meles’s people at different positions are rebels out of the woods, life or job resume might be unheard of to consider as the public must demand for it. With the help of the press, journalists and internet, if this information of Meles's people managed to be published for the public for scrutiny, they would not be qualified to run for office, moreover, they should be criminalized for falsifying public document if they choose to fabricate one.
Likewise, the opposition group members and candidates running for offices are expected to do what is just and publish their record and resume out for the public with full integrity to inform and uphold the total support of the people in or outside the country.
We, the people of Ethiopia are demanding it to be a form of ethical work procedure and address for legislation that ought to be a law.
