The Ethiopian Government Attacks The International Human Rights Law Group

EPRDF 's attack on the Ana Gomez is not the first time. Some years ago, it accused the Washington Based Human Rights Law Group for writing a criticism of the government's human rights record, “after taking $60,000.00 from the Ethiopian Ministry of Justice for a stint of a few booze-filled weeks.” Though the letter was sent anonymously to the Executive Director of the Law Group, Mr. Reed Brody, it could only have originated from one of five sources, for the unsigned letter was a reply to a confidential first draft of the report. According to Mr. Reed Brody, the draft was sent to five Ethiopian officials, to the US Embassy and USAID authorities who sponsored the research and “no other copies were released.”

PS: The Law Groups report is entitled “Ethiopia in Transition: A Report on the Judiciary and the Legal Profession.” To order a copy of the Law Groups report (a total of over 100 pages) send a check for $10.00 plus $2.00 postage and handling to The International Human Rights Law Group, 1600 Connecticut Avenue, NW - Suite 700, Washington DC 20009 - Tel (202) 232-8500, Fax (202) 232-6731.

HOW MUCH IS YOUR COMMISSION?

Re: The Ethiopian Government Attacks The International Human Rights Law Group

Gebrelekuskus,

The report includes the above noted six page letter that attacked the International Human Rights Law Group. It accused the Law Group from corruption to bribery to cheating the government and stealing staff. The Law Group published the letter as an annex to the Report.

Mamo, and to everyone,
Geremeles, Abeba, Meskerem, and the like are actually multiple of peoples who are doing shift work to disrupt, sabotage, misinform, etc on ethiopian websites where anti-weyane forces operate.
Solution:
Moderator and everyone: keep a database of their names and psudonames
Moderator: Let them continue posting their garbage, but bar them from creating threads
All participants: Never refer to their names or articles and DO NOT, at any cost, REPLY TO THEM.
