As far as we know the dispute over the election is still unresolved. How come they have decided to issue ID cards before appeals are considered? It seems putting the cart before the horse.
The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia has begun providing membership IDs to newly elected members of the federal and regional parliaments.
Borad Deputy Head Tesfaye Mengesha told ENA on Wednesday that winners of the election in 492 constituencies are taking their IDs from the Board beginning Wednesday.
Both private and party candidates who won last May's national elections can take their membership IDs from their respective constituencies by fulfilling the set criteria, Tesfaye said.
He said the Board has been disclosing lists of winners of the election for both parliamentary seats previously since last Monday.

This is a key test for the CUD if it will accept or reject joining the coming parliament. However the CUD will not get the courage to reject it as it will cost it to be reject for itself as a party and may even be outlawed in away it may not able to continue as a political party.
In my view things will detororiate very soon. The EPRDF was taking much more care for the opposition with the hope it will get a blessing from the West otherwise it has dared it a lot of price. It is unbeliebly difficult with the leadership in the CUD like Hailu Shawel, Ledetu, Mesfin and tocative Bedru.
If EPRDF has to get a relief these individuals have to pay in cash for all the crimes the have inficted on our people. The must be sent to the "HEAVEN" for good before the reaised their dream of destroying the country for their powermongering sake
