The Chinese government is the force behind the EPRDF's lock to power. We have to tell our fellow Ethiopians to boycott their products and have them kicked out of Ethiopia.

ADDIS ABABA, Aug. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Ethiopian police confirmed Monday that one of the two suspects arrested late Saturday while attempting to explode a bomb at the main depot of Mobil oil in thecapital was a member of the opposition All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP).

Police said the two suspects, who were under custody, are brought to court on Monday in accordance with the federal constitution.

Girma Kassa, head of criminal investigation coordination with the Addis Ababa City Police Commission, told journalists that one of the suspects, Shiferaw Tegegn, confessed that he was a soldier in the former regime and currently a member of AEUP, which is a member party of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD), the largest opposition party in the country.

Shiferaw was planning and conducting a kind of survey around 6:00 p.m. (1300 GMT) Saturday with the aim of launching a grenade attack on the depot, Girma said.

In addition to his confession, a voucher indicating that the suspect paid AEUP's membership fee for the month of July was foundin his pocket, according to the senior police officer.

He said the suspect had brought another individual named EshetuEstifanos covering all costs and promising additional 15,000 birr (1,730 US dollars), adding that the two individuals came to the depot area with two F1 bombs.

Although, having Shiferaw to watch over the surrounding, Eshetuhad thrown the F1 bomb in the direction of the depot, the bomb failed to detonate, said Girma.

He said the suspect was brought to court on Monday, where police have asked additional time to conduct further investigation.

Accordingly, Girma said, the court has given the police 14 additional days to conclude its investigation.

According to the police officer, one of the suspect, Shiferaw, has said he was prompted to commit the crime as he believed the May 15 election was rigged, and that he wanted to avenge by creating havoc and violence.

Ethiopians went to poll on May 15 in the country's two separateelections to elect representatives to the House of People's Representatives and regional councils.

The ruling Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front has won 296 parliamentary seats, which would enable it form the federal government, while CUD and another opposition party, the United Ethiopian Democratic Front, were in second and third placeswith 109 and 52 seats respectively. Enditem

Ethiopian should chase both communists, China and woyane, from our economic infustructures and country.

China is chasing resources from all over the world - wherever it may be - for its bulging needs. Its association with the Weyane government or any other dictatorial rulers is primarly dictated by this need. Being the new guy on the block, and with its communist background, it has committed the mistake (deliberate or otherwise) of alliance with short term governements of Africa. Bad mistake for its long term relationship. Especially when it deliberately sides with the Weyanes in the internal affairs of Ethiopia,its has committed an economic blunder of historical proportions.
China need better rethink this interference policy and focus on a better longterm economic policy vis a vis its partners. If not, it is likely to get its fingers burnt.

The two chinese companies could get lion's share from this bulk purchase. The General Manager of ETC, Tesfaye Biru, is a close confidente of Meles Zenawi. Tesfaye Birru is licensed to rob. He is given a full authorisation to go into corrupt practices and take bribe from companies. The weekly newspaper 'REPORTER" wrote for about 9 months with solid evidences about the corrupt practices in the Ethiopian Telecommunicationbns Corporation i.e ETC. Another newspaper called 'nation' exposed about the under the table transaction with the two chinese companies, ZTE and Huwawei. The newspaper - nation- wrote about ETC for 6 months. No measure taken so far against Tesfaye Biru. Somebody on this forum mentioned about "transparent corruption". Corruption here is legal for the TPLF supporters. Actually they contribute to TPLF from the money they have looted. They report how much they have looted. TPLF decides how much it deserves and give the rest to Tesfaye Biru. IS IT NOT TRANSPARENT???

If anyone believes the Chinese gov. has any sense of Humanity. We should write to them the same type of letters we do to the West regarding EHADEG/EPRDF's atrocities.
I think both EPRDF and China are the same kind and one in plundering the Ethiopian mass. All EPRDF’s leadership and their party economic institution are receiving kickbacks from the Chinese government. And corrupted World Bank and Donor countries official are just watching when the Chinese Gov. is making corrupted deals with African Gov. Officials using donation and loans from the West. Very soon most of the African states will be China’s satellite states.
