Zenawi relies on his Agazee militia to maintain his power.He is telling the opposition parties to accept his fascist rule and his 'parliament' as legitimate. he is threatening to kill people, to intimidate, and to jail if his order is not accepted.

Zenawi's threats and intimidation and a show of military force is not going to change the resolve of our people to free themselves.

We should give Meseret Defar the respect she deserves. It is juvenile to deny her the respect she
earned because she did not say what you wished her to say. She is the same athlete who ensured that Ethiopia's flag is raised high. To thank Alamoudi for helping the athletes get home comfortably is the decent thing to do. How can you not say thank you after accepting a help extended to you unless you are vulgar? I am glad that she proved not to be one. If Ethiopia had a good government, the athletes would not have been put in a situation where they have to depend on the generosity of an individual.

You may not have the money Alamoudi has and cannot charter a plane. But would you have contributed to pay for their flight?

Yes Alamoudi did support the group most Ethiopians despise. But that should not wipeout all the good he does to his country. If his reason for chartering the plane was to undo the damage his support to EPRDF has done to his image, as some have asserted, then he should be given even more credit. It is only a person who cares for what Ethiopians feel and think and confident in himself who asks for forgiveness. We have not seen our political leaders saying sorry even for ordering the killing of innocent citizens they were supposed to protect.
