Remrakable leadership

In a radio interview on last Sunday, Kinjit leader, Ato Hailu Showel said :

A) regarding the celebration of AEUP representatives that the meeting

1. had unanimously declared that it will not accept the determination made by the NEBE,

2. had given the executive the power to dtermine

a. whther or not to join the parliament, or to
b. create a transitional government of a short duration and for the purpose of appointed an NEBE, and for conducting election in the disputed polling places.

3. authorized the executive committee to work for the unification of Kinjit into one party.

B) Regarding the formation of a joint government with EPRDF as posted on Kesta Damana, Ato Hailu said that there were certain words he wanted to change in that document. The change has been effected. He
skillfully stated that the division of labor that the Kinjit had made had caused some members to perform tasks that others might not have liked. Overall, the impression I got is that Ato Hailu is trying to
accommodate all the different sensitivities of the executive members of Kinjit. He seems to have a unique quality of accommodating all.
We wish that the other members will recognize that it would be profitable for Ethiopia if they try not to push the boundaries of tolerance on a continuing basis.

What truly is wonderful is to learn how the chairman of the opposition answers questions when he is not trying to cover for the differences of the members of the Kinjit executive. He was asked tough questions
on August 14 to explain his stand and that of Kinjtit. Ato Hailu Shawel displayed what a fantastic leader he is. What a pleasure to listen to his clear and consistent answers. I encourage all to listen
to the questions posed by Ato Elias and Dawit, and the answers given by Ato Hailu Shawel in parts 1 and II of URL:

Review today ....."

Good job Ato Elias and Dawit!

The leader of the opposition made the point that the demonstrations where the security forces had killed innocent people was not organized by the opposition. In other words Ethiopians have not yet shown what
they would do if they took steps in tandem with the opposition leaders. Ato Hailu encouraged those in the Diaspora to strengthen their struggle. The movement has only began.

Re: Remrakable leadership

My brother:
I agree that Kibur Ato Hailu is a genwine Ethiopian who wants to bring reconceliation, peace, and progress back to our country. He is doing this out of sheer felling of responsibility and desire to save our country from the dangerous path TPLF is taking her. Of course, this would not be possible for him alone, if it were not for the strong commitment and die hard desire of his partners in this very important struggle, to bring a much needed and over due change in our country.

Re: Remrakable leadership

Amhras--Vs--None Amhra Ethiopians

Tribally based Amhra dominated political party (CUD) lost the election, because....

97% of CUD`s leadership is dominated by single tribe (Amhra Tribe).

Amhraism/Tribalism, or Political party ?
