Residents of Bahirdar, Gondar towns criticize low regard of opposition parties to public
Bahirdar, August 13,2005 (WIC)- The outright rejection of the election results by the opposition is indicative of their low regard for the voice of the public, some residents of Bahirdar and Gondar towns in Amhara State said.
The residents also told WIC that the opposition can take their cases to court, if they have complaints, adding that any party which took part in the elections accepting the constitution must adhere to resolving disputes through such institutes only.
The residents expressed their disappointment over the denial of the reality by the opposition and argued that they are expected to accept the decision the public made through their votes thus contributing their share to the development efforts underway.
The residents finally called on the opposition to respect the justice institutes in the country instead of wishfully dreaming to hold power at any cost.
Some of the residents meanwhile said the winner party should ignore the unfounded statements of the opposition and focus on the development endeavors it has launched.
