The illigal EPRDF regim has no right to pass sentences on to people, because it is not a ligitimate government. The news about previous members of the Derg to be executed is very disturbing and shoudl be stopped and denounced immidietely. EPRDF and its courts have no right to kill people even if they were members of the DERG. This is a slippery slope situation where EPRDF will use its illigal court system to kill people who will stand opposed to it.
This has to be stopped. EPRDF has to be stopped and eliminated.
Until death sentence is stopped as many countries did, the death sentence on these officials doesn't come as a surprise to me. What is interesting is the timing of the snetencing not the sentencing perse. This is done after 14 years at a time when as you mentioned it their legitimatcy is put to question. I wouldn't rule out that the timing has sinister motive. Otherwise, we question not the death sentnences but arbitrary killings of innocent victims on Addis streets. As things stand now Meles and Co. don't need to take people to court to kill.
Meles has sentenced hundreds of innocent Ethiopian people to death for the last fourteen years not through the court system but through his agazi army.
The woyane Kangaroo court, should be challenged and the murder of prisoners with out trial should be stopped. The prisoners should be given lawyers to defend themselves and should be given a proper hearing in an open court.
The timing of the death sentence is, indeed, chosen with a cynical move by the fascist Woyane regime, most definetely, to intimidate the Ethiopian people. With the military and the courts now working hand and glove, the regime is trying to bully the people into submission.
This does not by any maens show that the regime is strong. It is a desperate regime distancing itself from the people by the day.
We should contact Human Rights groups and expose the brutality of the regime and the injustice done to prisoners. There is no time to spare.

Where have you been for the last fifteen years? Nothing has changed since Menegestu. People are being tortured and killed everyday in Ethiopia. If you know how it feels to loose a family member by a tyrant leader then you should have a little compassion for others. Go to the front page of Ethiopian Review and see Shibre’s photo. Just like her hundreds have been killed by Meles. Think of her mother and siblings what they are going through. No one deserves to be tortured and killed. There is no excuse in the world big enough for this kind of treatment.
