In the interest of allowing CUD and UEDF to deal with some members who are not happy with the Porposal, we should refrain ourselves from providing advice to CUD.

Ledetu has very often exhibited disobedience and lack of loyalty to high level party decision Couple of weeks back he resigned showing disrespect and irresponsibility. And we can’t forget his move was about to make confusion and some sort of crack.. This time around he is telling us that he does not know of the proposal on coalition or unity government. Dr. Birhanu and other high level officials have made it clear the proposal was the decision of the council. In view of this fact would it be appropriate for us to stand on different poles, one supporting Liditu and the other opposing him? As far as what we observe around us is a reality, we have to raise one important question so as to arrive at a convincing conclusion. Lidetu is not in a position to give up disloyalty, irresponsibility. Why is he not able to give up his bad habit? Would it give him some sort of pleasure, a pleasure of becoming the only top figure in the leadership of CUD? His ambition of cheap popularity (populism) and ultimately bringing every thing in the party under his personal control is creating a big crisis. We should not wait to see the arrival of the crisis in the form of disintegration of CUD. Therefore in order to save the party the solution to such destructive habit of Lidetu should be first dismissal from CUD immediately second dismissal from his mother party as this party is member of CUD. Lidetu is not a kind of political leader deserving any respect given his habit of disloyalty, and power mongering

We don't know exactly what is going on in the CUD. They are competent enough to solve their differences by themselves. Democracy other than the TPLF's is working this way. In the EPRDF when the smallest coalition (TPLF) ruled Ethiopia for the last 14 years and looking forward to do so under the EPRDF names, the 3 biggest coalition members are accepting everything what TPLF is doing. There is a master (TPLF) and slaves (the rest of EPRDF members) relationship in the TPLF leading EPRDF. What we see in the CUD is the way how democracy is working in any democratic country. But their differences must be solved with discussion.
Lidetu Ayalew is very popular among many Ethiopians. You cannot just say he must go or what ever else. He is a hero among many Ethiopians. He is an icon for many young people. We all know, he loves his country more than the situation allowed him to express in practise. He is a gifted politician our country needs at this moment. He is looking the situation differently than others. For example about the vote rigging investigation, he already said the outcome before even the process started. But on the other hand the rest members of the CUD also saw the situation differently according to the circumstances our country is facing. So, a popular politician like Lidetu Ayalew is very important to our country. We have to give him support and advice rather than other extra activities. What we need is unity inside CUD and between CUD and UEDF.
There are TPLF cadres at this site spreading false propagandas about our leaders and the situation in our country. We have to identify them and don’t listen what they are saying. They are creating bad stories like horror fictions to affect our morale. But tell them, the more we get enemies, the worst we become against. About Lidetu Ayalew education or some other things know the Ethiopian people. He defeated every TPLF cadre in debates about our country in front of the people. He has won the people vote with big margin against one of the TPLF minister. So, don't listen these Cadres who know only how to lie, carry gun, shoot people and destroy property.

If you see today's Nestanet weekly Amharic newspaper, you will be surprised by the amount of Lidetu's misunderstanding of the concept of the 'National Unity Government. Lidetu understood it as simple proposal for establishing coalision government where as the proposal is a call for new fresh elections. The idea of National Unity Government is to serve as a transition government for a specific period with controlled mandate for conducting fresh elections. The investigation was a hollow exercise and it failed. Therefore what options do we have? go to court? no. the only viable wayout is to have new fair and free elections with new election board and transition government.

I simply suggest that Lidetu should be advised and if necessary before he causes much damage to CUD and EDUP, he should be removed.

It was not only Lidetu wh misunderstood the proposal. The likes of VJ, Yilma and of course, the Moderator, read too much into the proposal and what they got out of it was confusion of tecnics with strategy; interim with permanent; and preparing for re-vote as an arrangement to share power to gover Ethiopia. Talk about pretty Amaterish political analysis.

None among them came to say, we screwed up and we were wrong.

Are you the new G/Minamin assigned to ER? You are a big lier. You dare to lie on a fact which could be verified in a minute, yet, you expect us to believe your lies about 3000 years of history. The fact is that many TPLF/EPRDF CC mebers were high school or college drop outs, the likes of the propaganda minstre who didn't finsih high school, elelementary school sport teachers etc. Yes, many of TPLF cadres were given tax payers money to attend schhols in europe or US. Lidetu may be the least in the ranks of CUD with a single degree from AAU. That however doesn't take away anything from his reputation as a solid freedom fighter for all those who realize that fight is not all about going to the jungles. Of course he some times makes mistakes too, like what he is doing now. CUD, not G/minamin will deal with him.

Ato Lidetu and all the rest of the members of the oppositon parties, are equally great assets to their parties. They have done superb job, together!! They need each other, and we want them together!! Unity is strength. I have much respect to all of them. Ato Lidetu is doing such a great job, at this young age. The adversities they are facing right now, can't be equally felt by each members of the parties. Wisdom that comes with ages, shields and enables oneself to approach problems with different level. The wisdom we are seeing from the rest of the party members is a result of life-long accumulated experiences. He has to go through life-paths to reach at where his collegaues are now. They all are doing great!!! So proud of each and every members of the opposition parties. They have different qualities that benefit their parties, from different angles. May God bless all of them and their works!!!
