NEBE announces official result for 435 federal seats

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) today released official results for 128 federal parliament seats brining the total number of official results announced so far to 435.
Eighty-eight of the 128 results declared official today are those which Complaint Investigation Panels (CIPs) recommended upholding of provisional results and the remaining 40 are the ones rejected by the Complaints Review Body (CRB) after a hearing. The board endorsed the recommendations made by the CRB and the CIPs except for Adama 2 constituency in East Shoa zone of the Oromiya State where it decided to uphold the provisional result.
Out of the 435 official results that have been declared for the House of Peoples’ Representatives, EPRDF has won 241 seats, CUD 108 seats, UEDF 51 seats, OFDM 11 seats and another seven parties and one independent candidate have won 24 seats between them.
Following the recommendations of the CIPs, the NEBE has ordered that re-run elections be held in 15 constituencies. NEBE Chairman Ato Kemal Bedri said “All re-run elections will take place on 21 August, on the same day as the elections in the Somali region.”
Ato Kemal also said that the official results for the remaining 74 constituencies where elections took place on 15 May would be announced upon the completion of the CIP process in those constituencies. These include 37 constituencies where the NEBE has ordered investigations following the recommendation of the CRB. It is envisaged that these investigations will be finished within 14 days. It is possible that further re-run elections may be ordered.
Official results for regional councils will also be released in the next announcement.
A party or coalition has to win a majority of votes (at least 274 seats) to form the next government at federal level.

Soon after the close of voting all the results that came in showed the opposition winning by big margins in all the regions. Then Zenawi realised he was being humiliated and ordered the vote counting and announcement of the results to be stopped.
He then declared a state of emergency and started to release results in piecemeal manipulating the figures and slowly putting his own group ahead. This has been the trend that the election board followed with instruction from zenawi himself ever since. no big deal and no surprise.

So are you plannig to do.What is better for Ethiopias. Should we, then, fight each other or challenge it using the very legal system allowed all parties to participate in the election. If it hadn't been for the law, none, including CUD, couldn't have won the elections in Addis.
So, be reasonable and try to abide by the law.
