DEMONSTRATE AT G8 SUMMIT
Whilst the attention of the international community is focused on Addis Abeba, the fascist dictator has waged a country wide campaign of murder, torture and imprisonment on the people of Ethiopia in the rest of the country. People of all descriptions young and old are being rounded up from the streets and from their homes and taken to Nazi-style concentration camps spread across the country.
Zenawi has given order to his Gestapo police to assassinate newly elected members of parliament and to burn down their homes and have forced many of them to remain in hiding. The homes of many peasant farmers in Wollo, Sidama, Arsi and Gondar have been burned down and demolished.
Last week the Gestapo assassinated Tesfaye Adane Gara, a newly elected member of parliament from Arsi , and today another MP-elect Seid Muhammed was shot at but escaped un-injured.
The fascist dictator seemed to be unfazed by his brutality and has continued to escalate the atrocities to new heights as if he is competing to break the record of his predecessor mengistu.
Ethiopians all over the world should continue to expose these atrocities in whatever means humanely possible.
The G8 summit will be held in Glasgow, in G.Britain very soon. A demonstration should be held at this summit to tell the most powerful nations in the world about the plight of the Ethiopian people. As much as the Ethiopian people are dying of AIDS and hunger and famine, the most lethal cause of their death is the fascist regime led by zenawi.
Ethiopians should urge Amnesty International and other international humanitarian organizations to do every thing possible to prevent an unfair treatment of detainees in the various concentration camps by the fascist regime and to ensure that the detainees are visited by their families, international humanitarian organizations and the Red Cross.
We should continue to lobby our senators and congressmen/women and bring the suffering of the people to their attention and expose the multiple faces of the fascist dictator zenawi who has deceived the international community to further his own agenda.
childish behavior. Don't be shortsighted. this is for ethiopia and not for EPRDF. Whoever comes to power, needs this breakthrough. Unless your intention is practically to downgrade Ethiopia down to its knee you better think again.
