URGENT: Rescue the heroic Ethiopian pilots who refused to turn their guns on their own people, setting an example to the rest of the armed forces.
It's reported that Djibouti is going to deport back to Ethiopia two air force pilots who defected last week. The two pilots, Captain Behailu Gebre and Co-pilot Abiyot Manguday, defected in protest of
the June 6-8 massacre of civilians in Addis Ababa by the Meles regime.

If the pilots are deported back, they will face certain death.

This is not the first time so called heroic Ethiopian pilots defected… In communist era hundred of so called heroic Ethiopian pilots defected sad to say their defection never mount anything… coming back to The two pilots, Captain Behailu Gebre and Co-pilot Abiyot Manguday, they are not hero as you try to make them to be… they are opportunist
Who saw the current even as their one way ticket to run away and join American dream… in short they are just asylum seeker just like the next person, they are not special that you try to make them…

The two pilots, Captain Behailu Gebre and Co-pilot Abiyot Manguday, use their skill and war plane even try to defended the “defenceless Ethiopian people they left behind” at that time I would call them a hero and they deserve to be called a hero. Now they will face a certain death if they return to Ethiopia… which way you look at it they will face death then it would not have been better if they die bombing Meles’ army target… If the army who get paid to defended Ethiopian people run for cover when the thing getting hot then why in the hell the poor AAU students have to face the army to their certain death.


Sorry, it might be to late to tell two pilots but it might be good idea for next pilots not to defect to Djibouti because Djibouti have agreement with Ethiopia government to return any army that defected to each other..

Ethiopianreview you can write million letter to Djibouti Ambassador but the Djibouti got. Have their national interest too… Djibouti and Ethiopian the biggest trading partner in that region… Therefore it is in Djibouti best interest to return the two pilots… It might look like I am very cold person but I am telling you the raw deal I am telling the ugly truth…

One more thing Ethiopianrevew you seem to understand your readers well you did not ask for money to support the pilots family and the pilots case… you would not even get collected 1000 USD but for letter writing the whole 100,000 react because they know it doesn’t cost them a penny.. if it work good but I very much doubt it will work theis time around.

Shameful Betrayal

Every body who posts on this forum in support of defection is suffering from some decay of brain as result of lack of rational thought. The decay of your brain has various causes. The major one is hatred to the people of Tigray. I don’t mean you have no hatred to other peoples of nations and nationalities. Hatred to one nation is hatred to all people of the country, of the neighboring countries etc…

You guys have the ability to sell the national interests of your so-called country; Ethiopia It is second in importance for your livelihood to none. Listen carefully
Ø The moral principle governing your conduct emanates from your thought of betrayal
Ø When you encourage defection, you definitely prove servant of enemies of the country of your origin.
Ø Your activities of encouraging defection is betrayal to the national interest (national security, national sovereignty) of Ethiopian People.
Ø Your philosophy is that of donkey “ Ene kemotku Serdo Aybkel”

Now I ask you a question. If Ethiopia is betrayed day and night: What are the rewards you are promised from the enemies of the country? Its better if I give you the proper answer. Death to national hatred

Lack of national interest is the most deeply ingrained attitude inculcated by the existence of national oppression for several years. There fore one of the most pronounced difficulties of the struggle for democracy in Ethiopia is that it is obliged to pass through a phase of departure from lack of national interest and betrayal to the interests.

There is widespread anger provoked by the popular constitution in the camp of those Ethiopians who had strong attachment to the pervious regimes. The Ethiopian defence forces are organized in the spirit of the constitution. As the constitution is the interest of the people the national defence forces are the interests of the people. In this regard the defecnce forces could expect only those educated Ethiopians whose interests are embodied in the national interests of the country to appreciate the history they have made so far and are obliged to make heroic national sacrifices for the sake of the supreme interests of the people –safeguarding the constitution from any sort of violent action.

If Ethiopian is now passing , as she undeniably is, from poverty, ignorance, lack of good governance to a national resurgence ever seen in its history, the out let for it is not in the direction of the thought of oppositions but in the direction of the constitution . “ “Hate the Tigrayans, push back the Tigrayans” –such is the slogan of oppositions i..e Mengistu Hailemariam’s patriotism . But we have said and continue to say “ Hate racism, hate elements that instigate hatred” and at the same time “ Respect People ! Remain true to the brotherly oneness with the Tigrayan oppressed people.








Please come to your Senses

Oppositions charged EPRDF with having committed crimes in the election process. Immediately their sounds found an echo in the heart of VOA and German Amaharic services operations. All of a sudden all elements who have rallied around oppositions echoes the oppositions cry. Such a process has come about by design. No doubt for that. The problem is I am a bit surprised by your application of your senses.

For all of you the ability to see is second in importance to the ability to hear. Your ears perform greater role than your eyes. While your eyes are with you, your ears are VOA… Whatever you are told by them are hundred and one percent perfect. You don’t absolutely use your brain to give you guidance as to how to use your eyes and ears together. Any sound that comes from VOA does not cause you to turn your head to look. You use your ears for every thing. In most cases you completely forget the where a bout of your natural eyes. You use your ear that is VOA only to direct your attention as well as for detailed examination of the reality.
