Silence from a dead african union(AU)

After such a long silence to comment or condamen the wild killings and murders of innocent Ethiopians in Addis on June 8 and the following days, the Africa Union through its chair person,Alpha Oumar Konare releases its press release No. 31/2005 today saying hardly nothing.

The Commission which makes its sit in the capital and recruits more than 20% of its active working force from the people in the capital, Addis Ababa has ignored for days about the incidence in Ethiopia that draw international attention and protest both among ethiopians and the international comunity.

By doing so the union has delebrately and conseiously failed to live up to its stated vision to promot peace, security and stability on the continent as a prerequisite for the implementation of the development and integration agenda of the Union.

In the advent of its luck of support and defence to the people of ethiopians who are savagely killed, injured, abducted and thrown to torture chambers; the critics question what real role could the union play in integrating the continent but serve as a club of talks to the continents dictators and savage killers.

Ethiopians at home and abroad are encouraged to put pressure with any meanse that they could on the union to publicly denounce the killings of innocent people and call for the Melse regime to let free all prisoners of concise that they raid following the unrest.

Ralles already hold and yet to come all over the globe by ethiopians and their friends are also incorporating this demand from what a few called the already "deaf and dead African Union."
