Qilo:
You think you are in the service Ethiopia by by posting mumble and jumble here and there. If you have the gut come here and fight the fascists along side the Ethiopian people. If you land in jail for a day you will truly understand the true nature of weyane. Sitting on your ass and Posting garbages from abroad will NOT in any way affect the Weyane fascists. Come here, face the weyanes and pay a little sacrifice. Then and ONLY then you can witness what type of ordeal we are passing through each day. Otherwise, your bravado from a safe corner is less than useless.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Hi Mamo!
This is I think a good approach and I believe it shouldnt be limited only to these horable images that we all necessarily shoud forward to the afformentioned adresses. I think sending (forwarding) facts and news items to the mentioned adresses and even more as it developes on the ground is vital at this stage of the countrys struggle to liberate itself from tyrannys. Among many things doing so I believe
1. would serve as a counterattack to the continued misleading information disseminated by the TPLF/EPRDF government according the situation in the country.
2. It would draw more and valuable international attention, discussion and possibly action to the grave human right abuses by the ruling TPLF/EPRDF government against its own people.( Here emphasis should be given in selecting international media outlates be it print or broad cast and targeting them in passing for (a) right information and (b)scrutiny to the way they cover stories in the country)
3. If we manage to include also personal e-mails of friends and relatives then we can reach to a broader audience and share a similar stand on various issues of importance.
What do you think?

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Mamo Qilo,

You are doing a great service to those innocent civilians who were cowardly mudrered in cold blood by these blood thirsty bunch of thugs. Your service is to all oppressed Ethiopians as well.

We know there are a few TPLF agents who are born with complete devoid of moral values and respect for human life. Please do not be distracted by these "behodachew yemiyasebu" opportunists.

Keep up your good work. Ethiopians are winning thanks to her "adera kefay" children like yourself.

Dear all, Thank you for the good words, but the credit goes to the peron who compiled the list and posted it on this forum first. Unfortunately I do not remember the name to give him the credit by name. In any case, all I did was cut and pasted it.

This is the list we can do and thanks mamo q. for making it easy for us.
let's revolt till we see meles in jail and face justice for the crimes he comminted against our people.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Mamo Quilo, I'm relatively new to this forum. It annoys me to find you over there...Are you stable in all aspects of your life? You seem to crying loud to be noticed and to grab attention....How was your childhood?

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Ato Temesgen,

It is your childhood that should be of an issue. Ato Mamo has been a very constructive and disciplined contributor to this forum. Please go read his piece entitled "winning an ellection is different from governing." He has raised so many important and actually thoughtful points. I would like to see you contribute to the discussion than to engage in personal attacks.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Dear Mamo Kilo,

I read and saw the first 2 photos somewhere in Mederk blog. An indvidual from Europe stated that these 2 photos were taken in South Africa by some doctors from Holland. They were studing the impact of gangesters shooting for pont balnk rage. That individual even gave the date and the time of the TV show.

Do not get me wrong, I am appalled and disgusted with the brutal killing of 36 students and the mass arrest. I am not not belittling your good and industrious work.I do enjoy reading your posting, always.

Terbu S Rasta-

If this is true, it is very damaging. Meles can use this to discredit our cause.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Don't worry! Our concern regardless of the pictures is just! The truth will prevail!

May God bless our country and the Ethiopian people!

These vultures,
bodiless,faceless, souless,
everywhere in my country,
crushing all of us;
unjust, colorless and relentless,
They blacken the sky like this page
You will explode!

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Terbu S. Rasta,

If you think you can fool me by making up a story and then at the end telling me you enjoy my reading, you are a moron. The two pictures are pitcures of Ethioian victims. I can tell an Ethiopian dead or alive.

I challenge you and your Eurpoean friend to produce your proof. You come across as a moron than as an informed government agent.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Mamo Kilo! You lost it! I thought you were a thoughtful and reasonable person. I am disappointed.

I read the story about those photos in Medrek posted by someone called Ashago on 14 June 2005 at 10:21 am.

You can see it for yourself under Forum Index>Current News & Events about page 24 or so.

He said" According to the RTL4 TV, these bodies are South Africans and are wounded or killed by criminals...."
He stated also " Those of you who have access to Dutch TV, you can see the news this evening again"

Hope you can check Medrek forum and find it for yourself.

Sorry for the name calling

My sincere apologies.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

I suggest to continue sending the pictures to al international media and public, regardless of some peoples suggestion that it may not be images of ethiopian victims. What is important is that the ictures represent the crulity of Meles. Do send them to friends and colleagues throughout the world. Let us show the crulity of Meles and his security officers.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Mr. Qilo,

Our fight is just with out the pictures. otherwise, it is like saying the red terror in the 70's; the end justfy the means!

By the way, i am disapointed. Your lost objectivity and sense of reasonbleness! What happen to you? My good brother?

we need you!

I can not beleive you want us to lie!

THE TRUTH IS SIMPLE!

You always win with the truth!

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Please friends,

Please keep on forwarding those pictures to your friends, collages and the news media. Our responsibility is to use all means available to bring the news to the world. Let TPLF operatives run around trying to prove that the images are not from Ethiopia. What is important is the fact the Meles's government has murdered 40 people and wounded over 100. Many of them were shot in the face. So the pictures tell the story in a graphic way, regardless of whose pictures they are. Keep on sending them out. It takes no more than 10 minutes to send them to over 100 sources. Please use the addreses provided below.

Here is a cover note to make it easier for you to send them out.
……………………………………

Subject: Crime Against Humanity (Please don’t open attached images if you are pregnant or suffer from a heart condition)

Text: Dear friend, I ask you in the name of humanity to help us stop your tax money from being used for mass murder. Ethiopia is one of the African countries that have received billions of US dollars in grants and interest free loans, financed by tax payer’s money, including your hard earned tax money. Despite the billions of tax payer’s subsidy, Ethiopia’s GDP per capita (the average annual income per person) has gone declined from US$120 to US$100 over the last decade (a decline of about 18%). You may ask how so? It is simply because the Prime Minister and his cronies have been amassing millions of dollars while their citizens starving to death.

Pleas have a look how peaceful demonstrators who opposed the government's economic policy that is against private enterprises (including in land and telecommunication) and demonstrated the government’s attempt to steal their votes were massacred in a broad day light, just less than 2 miles away from the US Embassy in Addis. Please do not open the images if you are pregnant or suffer from a heart condition.

Please call your senator and house representative and ask them to stop our tax money from going to Ethiopia until the people responsible for the massacre of 40 peaceful demonstrators and mutilated over 100 innocent peaceful citizens.

Yours sincerely,

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Terbu S Rasta,

I posted the above before I read your message. My friend, politics is a dirty sport. They took power using all means available including streching the truth. The rule of the game calls for it. I suggest you use those images. If you do not like to do so, use other images. I have been sending them on a regular basis and will continue to do so. I have been getting replies from many people telling me that they have called their senators and so on.

Remember Bush, who is a born again christain was not afriad to misinform the public.

Terbu,

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Dear Terbu,

When it comes to political strategy I have one principle: Winning office using the tools of politics, without violating the law and the democratic culture. One of the reason the democratic party keeps on losing in the US is because their strategist are fools. The Republicans operate in the gray area. Ethics is rspected only if it is not on collision course with winning. Sorry if this disappoints you. This is consistent with my approach from the get go.

When it comes to respecting human rights and democratc rights I am like a true evangelist priest. I have iron clad principle.

Mamo Qilo

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Dear Mr. Kilo,

Thank you for your insight. But, what is democratic culture?

City: Cambridge, MA

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Yes, someone on Medrek had claimed that the photos were not from Ethiopia and even posted a Web site link for the video clip as a proof. But others after seeing the clip said that the photos were indeed that of Ethiopian victims.

The suggestion to send photos is an excellent one. Out of the hundreds of media people, politicians, human rights activists reached this way there will certainly be some who will take the right action. And that will do a lot for promoting justice and democracy in Ethiopia.

If the images are backed with links to news clips from various credible sources the impact will be far reaching. Including quotes from and links for documents such as press release from the EU election observers mission, the letter from the US Congress, the UK and other governments decision to suspend aid, articles from the various news channels and news papers with reports on the election can be very useful.

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

on. But when it comes to promoting your party's advantages and your opponents wickedness, you should not be a prisoner of biblical or Quranic ethics. Your approach should not be both legally and ethically correct. Respect the law and always remember ethical values and moral values are like beauty, they are in the eyes of the beholder.

I will give you two examples. One is the before and after pictures that diet companies advertise. Nine out of ten times these are not always true. Half the time they are the results of computer graphics. But they serve the purpose. The person who comes to the diet company may not look like the person in the after picture at the end but he will benefit.

The main reason Bush won election in the US was he was always operating within the legal bound but cared very little about ethics. Though he always attacked the democrats for being morally corrupt. This is what I mean by democratic culture. As I am sure you know Karl Rove was a mail marketing guru before he joined Bush’s campaign team and I am sure you know what mail marketing is all about. He used the very same strategy to help elect Bush.

From a practical point of view assume we sent the pictures to 10,000 people. Of which may be 1,000 would act up on it in terms of calling their senators and the likes. Of the 1,000 no more than 10 would dig out the true info. So we have 99 percent success rate. I hope you now see my point. Remember Meles is playing much more dirtier games.

Let me give you one more example. You know 75% of the people lie in their CVs. When you apply if you do not jack up your CV, you put yourself at a disadvantage. One out of 10 potential employers may catch your lies, but you have 9 chances for an interview. If you do not, your chance is not even 30% of getting an interview. Here is a long answer for a short question.

Mamo Qilo

Re: Let US Forward the Horable Images to the following Addresses

Mamo Qilo,

I agree with you about widely disseminating the images with a brief information sheet. But your argument that since others use false information it is OK for us to do the same will harm your effort rather than helping it. You do not want your message to be discredited. Also, the fact that others steal does not make stealing right.

Furthermore, there is no need to fabricate evidence because there is plenty of credible proof that can be used to show what injustice is taking place in Ethiopia.

Stick with the truth and you will succeed for sure.
