i found the following from my email box and i wanted it to be known by everyone.
This is a posting on behalf of the students and relatives of the
Bonga, Keffa Teachers Training College. The students went on protest
on support of the AAU students and against the rigging of votes as
well as the killings of innocent civilians in Addis. Now they
themselves are victims of the brutality of the TPLF crack killing
squad. The news I have from there is that, students of Amhara back
ground are being singled out and subjected to brutal treatments. They
are being accused of trying to bring back the neftengas. In reality
every student took part in the protest.
Also, in the same zone, since two days ago CUD opposition members are
being picked up and taken away from each woreda and town. Where, no
body knows. Please, at least in Addis there is a good chance for
things to be reported on the media, but her you guys out there are
the only mouth for these poor souls. Please let the world know and
prey for students and relatives.
The zonal political ideologue is called Birhanu Addellio and he has
been appointed recently to head the Prime Minister's office in Addis.
This guy was instrumental in the Awasa and Teppi killings. He was
then in charge of the SNNP(?) justice department in Awassa. He is one
of those guys who betrayed Abate Kissho and for his part got the new
post as reward. Please phone & fax him with your views on the matter
at hand at the prime minister's office.
