Develop and maintain pharmacy databases, analyze data and create management reports to be distributed to affiliated hospitals, assist Manager of Pharmacy Operations in drug procurement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Daily - review drug purchase data from wholesalers/distributors, update databases, generate reports for certain target drugs.
•Monthly - review data obtained from each facility Pyxis console, update database, generate management reports, distribute reports to affiliated hospitals, notify management of any critical information obtained from these reports.
•Quarterly - update drug purchase database and assist with generation of quarterly management reports.
•As needed - generate management reports on demand to address specific needs.
•As needed - assist with drug procurement and redistribution.
* This job doesn't have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Must Have:
•Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in business, computer science or related field.
•Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
•Must exhibit exception skill using Excel and Access. Proficient in using Word, PowerPoint, Internet, and other business software applications.
•Must be able to analyze data, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results.
•Effective verbal and written communications skills required.
Additional Information:
•Pharmacy purchasing/inventory control experience preferred, but not required.
•Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), preferred, but not required.
